Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrified by new formula! I have a sample of this and so far it feels the same as Hope in a Jar, but I noticed stearic acid is one of the prime ingredients now. My dermatologist has told me that can cause acne and to avoid it. It is a wax like saturated fatty acid made from animal and vegetable fats and oils. I can see why it could cause acne. I don't want this on my face and I'm surprised a supposedly better product has more of this in it !!!!!! We would be literally slathering animal fat on our faces !!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stick with it, it will work! I purchased the .5 oz jar to try it. I have very sensitive skin, prone to breakouts and redness. I have used it nightly for 6 weeks and I can tell a difference in the texture of my face, as well as the tone and brightness. At first, I did break out (any new skin care I'll break out initially), but after a couple of weeks my skin calmed down. My husband says my face is definitely softer. I like the clean, fresh fragrance, too. I used HIAJ throughout my mid-20s and 30s. I think this product has the extra oomph my 40-year-old skin needs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointment Yikes. This is awkward but this stuff sucks. Left me with breakouts and flakey skin and obvious wrinkles. Just awful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product gave me a week-long rash I had used philosophy's hope in a jar product and loved it, but I'm not a fan of the smell. When my jar of that ran out, I figured I'd try renewed hope because maybe it would smell better. And it does. However, the product gave me a red, scaly, itchy, bumpy rash on my face that lasted a week! I've used tons of different products on my face, and I have no allergies that I'm aware of. This was a horribly embarrassing experience, and I will be returning the product. I definitely recommend testing it on a small patch of skin before using it on your entire face, and I'll be adhering to this practice in the future!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible replacement! I have been a huge fan of Hope in a Jar for dry skin for years. Philosophy discontinued it within the last year or so. After it dries, the new formula pills on my skin which I HATE. So do several of the other philosophy moisture products. SOOOO disappointed. I will not use philosophy moisturizing products again unless they bring back the old formula.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaves my skin dry... My skin is not dry nor oily. It's actually pretty normal. I use the Miracle worker cleanser which now they discontinued and then no reason to hide serum and then this moisturizer and I have to say it leaves my skin really dry. I've been a philosophy user for 15 years and just now disappointed with their product. I supplement with other moisturizer to get the proper moisture back in my skin. Unfortunately not gonna recommend this nor order this again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product. Feels great. Great product feels amazing. I like this much more than the night cream, seems a little oily still in the morning. I have naturally dry skin, but still seems like much. As for the day cream it is very refreshing and light but still moisturizing. I recently about 6 weeks ago switched all my facial products to philosophy and my skin is very happy! Although switching over my a little pricey, the perks of being a member is worth it!!
