philosophy pure grace eau de parfum 2 oz.
This "use" to be my all time FAVORITE!
I absolutely loved the scent of pure grace. Most fragrances give me a headache but this was the only one that did not, and I loved the fresh, clean scent. But in the last year or so they have changed the formula to pure grace. It no longer last like it use to. Of course I have been told by philosophy that it it probably just because I have gotten "use to the scent". This is not true! I even stopped wearing it for a bit and went back to it and that did not help. I would spray it on my neck & body then ask a family member to smell my neck to see if they could smell my pure grace, but they could not smell it either. I have read MANY MANY other reviews on this site, as well as philosophy's site and MANY MANY other are all complaining of the same thing. So how can this many of us be wrong? I have called philosophy & asked them about this and the operator told me that they had heard this but that they formula had not been changed. I asked them to have someone contact me & they assured me that they would pass my concerns along & have someone contact me. I have done this twice now and still have not ever been contacted & it has been months! Why will they not listen to all of these customers that are saying the exact same thing. I know they sold the company & it seems to be apparent that they new owners changed the formula somewhere to save money. That was a BIG mistake. Pure grace is no longer what it use to be. It smells great in the bottle & when you first spray it but when it dries the scent just disappears. I want my original pure grace back!! I miss it so much. But I am not going to waste money on a product that does not last. It does not meet the standards that the original pure grace did. :(
I love this scent and have multiple items in it. Received this for Christmas, asked for it!
When are they going back to the real fragrance?
This is like a cheap imitation of Philosophy' s real Pure Grace. It smells like alcohol and baby powder. No longer the clean, yet musky scent it once was. No more compliments. It was a fragrance that made me and those around me feel good. Now it merely smells like drugstore body mist. Luckily, it lasts about 20 minutes and then the smell is gone. Back to QVC it goes.
What Happened to the Everlasting Fragance??
So very disappointed in this product, does not smell anything like the first one I purchased. Very disappointed. And to tell you the truth, my favorite was Baby Grace, now it is terrible, along with all your other fragrances. What did Coty do to the fragance? And why did you sell the consumer out? I, too, will never purchase any of Philosophy fragances again. Did they change the formula for the microderm wash too? I love it, am out of it, but now very hesitant to order.
VERY DISAPPOINTED! Bring Back The Old!
I have used Pure Grace for years and I purchased the TSV awhile back in the Pure Grace. Normally when I would wear it, many hours later, people would still tell me they loved my scent. I ride motorcycles and people riding behind me would comment on how they could smell my Pure Grace as they were riding. NOW....With this recent purchase, the scent is gone after 30 minutes. I get no compliments anymore. I don't even think it smells as good at the prior PG. I am very disappointed in this product now as it has always been my favorite. I don't know what you changed in it BUT..YOU NEED TO GET BACK THE OLD PURE GRACE!!!!
Wow they DID change this..How sad they felt the need to mess with perfection..With in a couple min no smell at all and it does not have the same notes as the last one i got 2 yrs ago...I will never buy a philosophy product again..
Great Enduring Fragrance
Pure Grace and other Philosophy EDPs are getting quite the beating in terms of negative reviews since being bought by Coty. Consumer product review trends are always weighted heavily with me before I make the decision to purchase anything. I have always wanted to try Philosophy EDPs but never smelled them for myself so I never took the chance until I visited the QVC Studio store in Westchester PA and sprayed a little Pure Grace on. That smell was wonderful, clean and ultra feminine. Not cheap or tacky; a very high end smell that lasted until I showered the next day! Missed it so much after that I bought some after I got home and this bottle is just as fantastic! It must have lasting power when combined with the pheromones of positive people!
Try Clean Ultimate Instead
I used to love PG. Then something happened to the quality and composition of the products when philosophy sold out to Coty. The reformulated Pure Grace (although the company claims otherwise, my nose and hundreds of others cannot be wrong) smells nothing like the original. Save your money and spend it on something else. I recommend Clean Ultimate EDP. It is very similar to the original Pure Grace, only better in my opinion (fragrance is highly subjective...your mileage may vary).
Scent Vanishes Fast
I love the scent of Pure Grace but I agree with the many others who are disappointed with way this scent now disappears so quickly. Does Philosophy/Coty ever check out the feedback from consumers on qvc.com? I would hope they would bother to check out the customer reviews and pay attention to the things that keep being said by so many of us. I'm on the lookout for a new fragrance that is similar to Pure Grace, but stays around for more than 20 minutes.
Feels like money wasted
I purposely buy the eau de parfum because the concentration is a little higher and you really should have to use less. I spend the extra money it costs for that reason. I was not aware that the company has a new owner now and perhaps the formulation is a bit different. I am very disappointed with the fragrance. It doesn't last at all and I have never known that to be the case. I would get compliments hours later and I'd be amazed that others could still smell the scent. I had not made a purchase with QVC in sometime because I felt like I was spending a lot of money on shipping in addition to already high prices. But I needed another bottle of Pure Grace and so I went ahead and made the purchase because it was on easy pay. I feel like it was money wasted.
No longer use it
I used Pure Grace for many, many years. I couldn't figure out why my last couple fragrance purchases didn't last as long until I read the reviews and found out about the Coty buy-out. Now it makes sense. I've moved on to Perlier Almond products and now get the same compliments from co-workers that I used to get when I wore Pure Grace. I wish the review site allowed me to give "no stars."
smells good but doesn't last
I have used this for years and love the smell. Recently I have noticed the scent does not last long at all. Wish philosophy would go back to the original Pure Grace. I have already begun looking for a new fragrance:(
