I love philosophy products.....but not this one. I bought in a bundle with eye cream and Purity made made simple. Forget the smell. I could live with that. It didn't work. My skin was dry after using and product "rolled" off my face. I gave to my 70 year old mother. Doing same thing on her face but she likes product. She thinks maybe it is getting dead skin off???

Makes my skin feel amazing almost immediately after applying. I do not notice any off-putting odor, at all, in my product. I ordered the super sized set including purity, which is hands down the most fantastic skin care product EVER created. This was an "extra" as far as I was concerned, but glad I tried it. It will become a regular.

This product should be customer top rated hands down. The glycolic acid I believe is the magic ingredient. I'm a product junkie & have tried a little bit of everything. I was experiencing a mild breakout after running out. I replenished with the super size TSV & my skin cleared practically overnight. The glow & texture of my skin is unlike anything thing I've experienced. Thank you QVC & Philosophy for offering deals that the brick & mortar stores could never compete with. Please just give it a try....love it or send it back. I suggest you keep it & be transformed.

To the people complaining about the "smell"-the so called odor some of you are smelling is because they DON'T ADD A SMELL OR PERFUMES to it. So you are smelling the ingredients. If you want perfume in your face crème they have plenty out there.I love this crème and most all Philosophy products due to the fact there are no UNNECESSARY ingredients.I love results and this gives it to you. Add perfume it will change it ! THEN I Won't USE IT and probably most of you getting good results will find them gone. Don't mess with a good thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Prof Absolutely NO smell
I purchased this item from QVC last year and absolutely LOVE it! I am extremely sensitive to fragrances and cannot use most perfumes due to the headaches they cause. On the contrary, this item has absolutely no smell at all! If Philosophy wants to look into this issue, they might want to see which lot all of these customers who are complaining got. Maybe it's just the 2-oz jars. My Hope in a Jar Night was awesome, and stayed that way for the entire 10 months it lasted - no smell. I was sincerely surprised at the amazing results it provided. I was hoping for some improvement in my skin tone, but got miraculous results - smooth, clear skin. Ordering again!!!

I really love Philosophy and have tried so many products. This one didn't deliver anything special and I didn't even finish the jar (which is rare for me with this line). I suggest Miracle Worker as a great moisturizer for drier skin.

Cannot use this terrible smelling product. Not only that, but it remains tacky to the touch overnight.
Rated 4 out of 5 by valrice Amazing Night Cream But Horrible Smell
Let me first start by saying that I just started using this night cream. I am very impressed with the results so far. My skin is, by far, much softer and supple after using this cream for a short time, than with any other night cream I've ever used. And believe me, I've tried them all. However, there is one problem...the smell. It's horrible. It smells like mold. But I will have to say that, because of the results I'm getting, I will probably use this cream for the rest of my life. In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons.

I received this product as a sample. I loved the results! In the morning my face felt so soft and supple. I immediately bought a 2 oz jar and use it every night. The smell was noticeable the first couple nights but now I don't even smell it. Highly recommend!
Rated 2 out of 5 by fata Have to take the Good with the Bad
OK -- for me it has always been hit or miss with the Philosophy skin care products. I love and cannot live without the bath products but don't have the same love relationship with the skin care. Having said this, I am always open to trying a new product and try it with an open mind. The Hope in a Jar Night is a great night cream but I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - the scent is off putting. It does go away after a little while so I just wait but that is why I titled this taking the good with the bad. The cream does great things but you have to suffer for a little bit with the bad scent. Not sure what that scent is but I have to admit that I have a hard time with the regular Hope in a Jar for the same reason. The scent for me is awful. I started to think that maybe the product doesn't have a long shelf life and the scent comes through on older product. Not sure but it isn't good. We all can't be imagining it....

I have a love/hate relationship with this cream. It does what it claims to do, but the smell isn't pleasant. Especially if you're used to the Philosophy clean scents. I've been using this cream for about a year and I'm not going to lie it's a struggle some nights when I use this cream because the smell lingers. After a few minutes, once it has dried down the smell goes away. When I get up in the morning my skin looks great and that is why I continue to use it.
