philosophy hope in a jar night 2 oz.
Feels very nice without feeling greasy. Might reorder.
Absolutely NO smell
I purchased this item from QVC last year and absolutely LOVE it! I am extremely sensitive to fragrances and cannot use most perfumes due to the headaches they cause. On the contrary, this item has absolutely no smell at all! If Philosophy wants to look into this issue, they might want to see which lot all of these customers who are complaining got. Maybe it's just the 2-oz jars. My Hope in a Jar Night was awesome, and stayed that way for the entire 10 months it lasted - no smell. I was sincerely surprised at the amazing results it provided. I was hoping for some improvement in my skin tone, but got miraculous results - smooth, clear skin. Ordering again!!!
Not the usual Philosophy experience
I really love Philosophy and have tried so many products. This one didn't deliver anything special and I didn't even finish the jar (which is rare for me with this line). I suggest Miracle Worker as a great moisturizer for drier skin.
Worst smell on earth.
Cannot use this terrible smelling product. Not only that, but it remains tacky to the touch overnight.
Amazing Night Cream But Horrible Smell
Let me first start by saying that I just started using this night cream. I am very impressed with the results so far. My skin is, by far, much softer and supple after using this cream for a short time, than with any other night cream I've ever used. And believe me, I've tried them all. However, there is one problem...the smell. It's horrible. It smells like mold. But I will have to say that, because of the results I'm getting, I will probably use this cream for the rest of my life. In my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons.
I love Hope in a Jar!
I received this product as a sample. I loved the results! In the morning my face felt so soft and supple. I immediately bought a 2 oz jar and use it every night. The smell was noticeable the first couple nights but now I don't even smell it. Highly recommend!
Have to take the Good with the Bad
OK -- for me it has always been hit or miss with the Philosophy skin care products. I love and cannot live without the bath products but don't have the same love relationship with the skin care. Having said this, I am always open to trying a new product and try it with an open mind. The Hope in a Jar Night is a great night cream but I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - the scent is off putting. It does go away after a little while so I just wait but that is why I titled this taking the good with the bad. The cream does great things but you have to suffer for a little bit with the bad scent. Not sure what that scent is but I have to admit that I have a hard time with the regular Hope in a Jar for the same reason. The scent for me is awful. I started to think that maybe the product doesn't have a long shelf life and the scent comes through on older product. Not sure but it isn't good. We all can't be imagining it....
I have a love/hate relationship with this cream. It does what it claims to do, but the smell isn't pleasant. Especially if you're used to the Philosophy clean scents. I've been using this cream for about a year and I'm not going to lie it's a struggle some nights when I use this cream because the smell lingers. After a few minutes, once it has dried down the smell goes away. When I get up in the morning my skin looks great and that is why I continue to use it.
I received a sample of Hope in a Jar Night and put it on my face but had to wash off immediately due to the horrible smell. This product might work, but I'll never know because I would not use any product that smells this bad. However, I do like the smell of the original Hope in a Jar.
Fantastic Night Cream!
I love this product. I've been looking for a good night cream and I've finally found it with Hope In a Jar Night. I love how moisturizing it is without being greasy. I hate greasy! My skin tone is even and smooth and so soft. I also do not understand the reviews about the smell. There is no smell, which is fine by me. I don't want something perfumey and strong on my face. I actually prefer Philosophy face creams because they don't have strong smells. I won't use Estee Lauder because the scents bother me so much. I too am asking that you please don't change the formula. It's perfect as is! Thank you Philosophy for another great product!
Keep the smell PLEASE!
I am going to stock up on this before it is re-formulated due to the negative reviews. I love glycolic acid products and the difference they make on my skin. I use sunscreen daily for protection. It is almost impossible to find any "retexturizing" glycolic products that are not oily or buffered to be ineffective and weak. This cream does not turn me into an oil slick or make me dry and flaky. Truly superior. Stock up! Stock up! Before this formula is changed due to the reviews and it is ruined for the rest of us. It is so good I don't care about the smell. Really. It does go away after a few minutes. I had a few small blemishes that VANISHED literally overnight. WOW!! LOVE THIS CREAM. I would pay double the price for it.
Love this stuff
I am shocked to see the ratings for a bad smell! my jar has no scent at all. I am very very sensitive to scents and can't usually use perfume with out getting a migraine
And I have not noticed any scent at all. This makes my skin so soft and I love it. My skin just drinks it in. I will be back for more for sure. Thanks Q and philosophy for great deals.
