philosophy clear days ahead 30-day acne trial kit
What A JOKE
Thought this kit would work for my acne skin, but I was so wrong. This made me have more breakouts than normal, it also dried out my skin. This didn't solve my problem, but made it even worse.
Does Absolutely Nothing :(
My 17 year old daughter has a, at most times, mild case of acne. She has used Pro Active for years. Not sure why but just wasn't working for her anymore. I am a Philosophy fan and we are very disappointed with this. She has been using this exactly as the instructions say, for a little more than a week. She may as well be using nothing. It has not gotten worse but there hasn't been ANY signs of clearing up at all. We will give a few other products a try but at least with the Proactive she would clear up a little. BTW, sadly to say I do not submit many product reviews and when I do it is usually because they are favorable and like to share with others. Normally if a product doesn't work I figure its a personal issue and may work for someone else. With the difficult financial times today, I would appreciate knowing if I should not waste my my money. In this case SAVE your money. Sorry Philosophy :(
I started using this product about six months ago. It has made a huge difference in my skin! I had clogged pores and acne all over my face that was very embarrassing. I will say that it took about a month for this product to work for me. At first, my acne got worse and my skin was very dry. I decided to stick with this product and I am so glad that I did. My skin looks 100% better and my acne scars are starting to fade. I use the wash with my clarisonic and it works great. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is very pricey.
not for me
a kit this size is a really nice way to try a product like this. unfortunately, this kit made me break out much worse than i had to begin with (or ever before). the products smell lovely and feel nice when you use them. they are not drying like some products. i think the pads in the kit made the skin on the parts of my face that wasn't breaking out look better-- softer and brighter. the problem is that i was breaking out all over my cheeks and forehead. so basically, my nose looked great. i've heard that some products purge your skin before it clears up and that may be the case but i wasn't willing to wait any longer for it to clear (i used it for 4 weeks)-- my acne had become painful. i think i must be a person who responds better to benzoyl peroxide than the salicylic acid that is used in this. it's too bad, i really wanted to like them.
Worst acne care line
I tried this line after they discontinued on a clear day. And this is the worst acne care line I have tried. I have aging skin with adult acne, this acne line clogged my pores made my skin peel even with extra moisturizer, enlarged pores and black head and white heads all from this one line. I switched to Peter Thomas Roth's acne line and now my aging adult acne prone skin is beautiful. Philosophy has had at least three acne lines and this one is the worst of them all.
