Twin-Star International is issuing a voluntary recall for the Duraflame branded heater model DFS-220
WASTwin-Star International is issuing a voluntary recall for the Duraflame branded heater model DFS-220 (QVC Item V32316) in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). The heater can overheat and cause the units to melt, catch fire and ignite nearby items, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Twin-Star will refund the purchase price of the heater.
If you have one of the affected Twin-Star heaters, please unplug the unit and stop using it immediately. We recently had reports of the air outlet melting or burning, causing some units to catch on fire. We have had no reports of injury resulting from the overheating.Â
All Duraflame Branded, model DFS-220-RED, DFS-220-WHT, DFS-220-BLK heaters made by Twin-Star are affected by this recall. These heaters came in in white, red, and black. No other products are affected.
