New to the "I Love" Collection: Olive's Sunflower
Named after Scott Grimes' beloved daughter Olive due to her love of sunflowers, these designs are inspired by the Greek story of the sunflower.
In the legend, Apollo, the Sun God, would ride across the sky upon his chariot of fire every day. Clytie, a mortal who loved him, would spend her day staring at the sky as he rode across it.
Unfortunately, her love for Apollo could not be reciprocated. The Gods pitied her and turned her into a sunflower to symbolize her eternal love for Apollo.
This is why sunflowers follow the sun throughout the day. It is said that Clytie is looking for Apollo’s chariot to return so she might be reunited with her love.
