bareMinerals bareSkin Serum Foundation Auto-Delivery
Not for me
Takes too much product for full coverage. Doesn't work well with serums and creams. Sits in lines and wrinkles. Does not "Melt into Your Skin."
Bad Color and Coverage
I really wanted to love this product but I couldn't even like it! The shade choices aren't quite right for women of color, way too golden. The texture and coverage were my biggest issues though. I am 56 and have great skin and almost no fine lines or wrinkles. This foundation created problems that I don't normally have. It didn't blend smoothly, even with moisturizer and primer, and settled into my pores in a very unattractive way. It didn't provide any coverage and managed to make my skin look worse than without any makeup at all. Maybe this might work best on women 15-22 with perfect skin. Anybody over this age should save their money!
I am (was) a strictly powder-only foundation wearer forever. Previously used the Ready Foundation and loved it. Wouldn't even have considered trying this but my BFF loves it. Plus, the inclusion of BE's skin-care ingredients and the no oils/water/chemicals composition, I thought I would give it one try. Wow. Between the quality product and the killer brush, I'm sold. It covers well, lasts longer than the powder foundation and looks great. I even have a better color match than the powder (to best match Ready to my hard- to-match fair skintone, I had to always cover the Ready with tinted Mineral Veil). For all of you who think you you'd never go back to a liquid-- but like great coverage and good-for-your-skin ingredients, give it a try!
I had great expectations since I was a bare minerals user years ago. The new serum foundation provides only sheer coverage. After several applications my pores are still noticeable and the dry areas by my cheeks look like dry patches. I returned the product.

I don't understand the negative reviews on this but after trying two different colors, I think that may be the problem. If you find your perfect shade it goes on like a breeze, minimal product is needed and coverage can be as much or little as needed. I am almost the big 60 and believe me there are some wrinkles and I don't notice it settling in them. Very happy with BE as usual.
SO wanted to like this
I have been using bareMinerals matte foundation for years and love it. I'm a 60+ gal so my skin tends to be a little on the dry side. This has worked for me in the years it was oily and at this age as well. I thought the new serum formula would be a much better match for drier skin. I couldn't have been more wrong. It shows every pore and draws attention to drier areas. Light hairs on the edge of my face collect the product. It is impossible to get a smooth finish no matter how many drops you use at a time or shake the bottle. If I need to use a primer with it, there is no sense to purchase it. I'll stick with my brush-on matte foundation. No worries there! This is such a disappointing product and waste of money.
Quick applicatiIon, good coverage
I need full coverage - liquid foundation plus powder foundation - and this foundation is very easy to apply and the coverage is very good, especially with a dusting of powder. Looks fresh and natural compared to my heavy "MAC" makeup. I used Dr. Denese's products as a primer and wow - my husband was very complimentary (and he rarely compliments me), so if he noticed my skin, then it has to be good. This is not a heavy foundation and will not cover everything, but it is a good change if you want to try a different liquid foundation to layer under a powder foundation (yes, I am high maintenance). I am giving 4 stars because I thought it would provide better coverage but it worked out under my powder foundation.
A Real Surprise
I ordered this because I wanted something with a lighter texture than what I was using. It was against my better judgment since I never liked their original powder formula. Nothing has ever looked worse on me than that. When I received this and used it I was shocked at how good it looked. I really looked and felt like I wasn't wearing makeup, even after giving it the grin test, which is Bare Minerals' claim. Two drops didn't do it but the coverage is buildable which I need at my age. Good stuff.
I have used bare minerals for years so i tried this new product, hate it it shows every line every wrinkle i have very dry skin i think if you have oily skin it might work for you but a waist of money for me cant use it at all feels like a mask on my face!
There is a learning curve
It's taken me a few tries, but I like this foundation. 1. Primer is very helpful. I use the bare minerals clear primer. 2. Shake Shake Shake. 3. 2-3 drops for left side of face , 2-3 drops for right side. 4. Buff buff buff. Finish with mineral veil.
Far less messy than the BM powder. Gives a nice bright finish. Still on my face when I wash at night so it does last. I also think it's probably important to get a good color match. I went to a BM store and had them match me. I was considerably darker than I would have guessed.
Bad coverage, doesn't last
Used a week and sent back. Does not cover, does not last, spotty coverage at best.
Ok, but not worth the hype
My skin issues are (just to get an idea if this applies to you): sensitive, combo skin, freckles, medium toned, in between neutral and yellow undertones, and starting to mild rosacea. Best thing about this product is the color selection. I finally feel I have the right color for me. It is sheer to medium, buildable, but not full coverage. I loathe the brush. I can't get the well clean even though I soaked the brush overnight. I find that I get better application by using a flat top brush. Work in sections because the product dries quickly. The product feels strange, but not in a good or bad way-just different. Lasting power is pretty good except for the tip of my nose.
