M21609 - Woodbridge Single LED Solar Lamp Post with Square Planter
I would not recommend any solar led product that you are counting on using for a while. Once the life span of the led light is over the led can not be replaced. Therefore you are out the purchase price. If the cost is small then you are out only a small amount but anything over $50 and you need to decide if it is worth being disposible.
Two Pieces Do Not A Solid Planter Make
I purchased 5 of these in white - 1 for the mail box area; and the others for the deck. Truly believe there is quality in the lamp post and lamp...but as others have said - who designed the planter? Poorly constructed in two pieces. I spent over one hour trying to attach the two pieces...They kept separating. I'm keeping one for the mail box area and will drop the size of the planter down by 1 - 2" so I can drill 2 holes into each side and screw the two pieces together. If this doesn't work, I will use the lamp pole in another planter. This definitely was not well thought out in design.
I wanted two of these, but I purchased one to see how it was before ordering another...as soon as my husband put it together and it lit up that night I ordered the second one.
I put one on each side of my arbor by our back gate. My husband drilled them into the cement drive so they would not blow over . My husband's friend helped out and asked me how to get one...I gave him the phone number. Anyway, last night was the first night I had them both on and it looked great!!!! Plan on getting the one with the three lights for the front of my yard.
On the fence with this one!
I love the concept of this product. The only complaint I have is the flower pot. What were they thinking? The flower pot is in two pieces. I can't believe it was due to shipping. I paid enough for them to send me a one piece flower pot. It was very annoying that everytime I moved the pot it would fall apart. I was able to put most of this together myself. I had my hubby make sure everything was nice and tight. So we crossed our fingers and started to fill the pot with some rocks. Of course the pot fell apart during this process. After a few tries we got the pot to stay together. We put this on our above ground pool deck. It looks great. I say may prayers that the pot stays together. Otherwise we will have dirt and plants floating in our pool. So far so good. I think as long as you fill the pot half way with heavy rocks it should be fine. Of course the light isn't that bright. It's solar. It give us just the right amout of mood lighting for out pool deck. QVC please have the manufacture rethink the pot design. I just might buy a few more if that was the case.
Easy to Assemble.......
Recevied this a couple weeke ago. My husband had no problem putting everthing together (that is saying a lot). This also charged within a full day of bright sun. I would recommed this product to anyone! This is a nice addition to our back yard.
Starting with assembly the base was a bit confusing but easy to assemble. The light itself is a bit dimmer than I had hoped. One of the reasons I purchased this light was because it was constructed with metal and glass. Little did I know that the metal was going to be the most fragile part of the light. The wind blew the lamp post over one night (my own fault as I left it on the patio with no weight in the base) and the only parts that actually broke were the metal ribs between the glass panels and the mounting base. The glass didn't break, the plastic parts didn't break but the metal did. I thought I was going to have to throw it away but my talented husband fixed it with some epoxy putty and painted over it. Not worth the purchase price in my opinion; wouldn't purchase this again.
WORKS FOR ME
I REALLY ENJOY THIS LAMP IN MY BACKYARD, THE LIGHT IS BRIGHT ENOUGH.
MY HUSBAND DUG A HOLE AND PUT THE PLANTER HAFT WAY DOWN IN THE DIRT. It look nice.
I give up!
I considser myself to be a faily intelligent person, but this thing has defeated me. After spending over an hour trying to assemble the top and bottom parts of the pot...I wanted to throw this thing in the lake. I also feel like even if I did get it together, the plastic tabs would break, and the pot would collapse. Why isn't the pot one piece like the larger 3 arm light from the same company? I guess...just to make it fit in the box. This is not for me, and is going back. I dont' need this frustration.
This is my first purchase from QVC. I am very disappointed in this product . The planter comes in two pieces that fall apart whenever you move this light . It's cheaply made and the light is very dim .
