J140303 - Widow's Mite Cross Design Ring, 18K Gold
Absolutely love this ring!
I am so happy to have this piece of history to wear. The ring is beautiful and I am very lucky to have purchased this item!
I have been wearing this every day since I received it. The setting seems secure but I can see where if you catch it just right you may break it. I wear this as a reminder of the object of my faith - Jesus - and a reminder that I should make sacrifices willingly - as He did.
Feel blessed for the opportunity to own
I received the ring two days ago, love it, find it inspiring..I also have concerns about the setting of the stone...will most likely take it to a jeweler to have it reinforced, but plan to wear it every day...the stone or coin is small but so unique and is still a very nice look on your hand...I chose the middle finger on which to wear it as I have other rings I wear daily, and it looks great...so glad for the opportunity to get easy pay.
This was my Easter present to myself given the history of the mite. To me it was and extravagant purchase but I felt it would be worth the price. I was sorely disappointed. The mite was not secured in place properly and it would move around, nor were the prongs sturdy enough to hold the mite. One prong was not secured to the mite and being that it was 18K I felt the prong could possible break off or I may lose the coin. I would have preferred a 10K with better workman ship. Needless to say I sent it back much to my disappointment. Overall for quality and price point I would rate this item 1 star
This looked nothing like what was shown on TV. What I received was a ring with a dull brown blob in the center, there wasn't any detail and I couldn't see any coin!! This went back the next day.
When I first got my widow's mite ring, I was thrilled. Not only did I feel I had a piece of history, but it was set in 18k gold, which is not that common, here in the USA, and the ring was simply beautiful. I wore it with pride. But on the third time I wore it, I noticed that somewhere along the course of my day, one of the prongs that held the coin had broken off, and the coin was missing. I was crushed. Not only did I love the ring, but it was more than I'm used to paying for a ring, because it was 18k. Now I'm out the ring and the money, since I bought it in May, and it is now more than 30 days, so I can't return or exchange it. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the quality of the ring, since I am gentle with my jewelry, and I know I didn't get it caught on anything to cause this. They need to either place more prongs on the ring to hold the coin, or use a stronger metal to make the prongs. I now have a shell of a ring.
