Not authentic Italian. My Italian aunts grew up in Italy and cook authentic Italian food. Giada's recipes don't even come close to true Italian.

I tried most of the dishes did not like any of them. Give the book to my local library.

My mother and myself love to do easy quick recipes that warm your heart
these are healthy quick recipes that are easy to follow and have
meaning . We do make things our own with spices of choice
and giada encourages making them your own throughout the book

I have watched her on the Food Network and enjoyed her program and most of the foods she made. Thinking this book would follow about the same types of recipes...and maybe some of her books do, I was disappointed that they are not recipes I would use. I did buy two books and will not return them, as it would be too costly, so guess, I will just pass them on, in Christmas gifts and hope recipients are happier with it than I am.

I can't believe I am already cooking the recipes. the book is easy to follow. you don't have to be some professional before you can cook the recipes. it's written in a way that will make anybody understand. what i appreciate most is that the ingredients are accessible and cheap. just like her cooking show, the book is explanatory. it's highly recommended.

I actually bought this book for my friend for Christmas (she is Irish & Italian) so I thought it was perfect and so did she. Great photos to go along with recipe's!

Regardless on what others say, I love this cookbook! It does'nt have weird ingredients for me. For simpler recipes try "Family Favorites Cookbook" which has everyday ingredients.
