Don't expect miracles in one use.
My hair composition had changed and my very fine/oily hair became frizzy, very damaged, and unmanageable. I started using WEN a couple of years ago and have been able to grow my hair longer than I have ever been able to, since it always broke off, etc. I think the MOST important thing to remember is that the damage has already happened to the existing hair, but WEN is gentle enough that it doesn't strip and damage the NEW growth. If you continue using, you will be happy with the results of your new healthy hair!!

Don't Give Up!!
I have been using Wen for many years now and absolutely love the product. if it is your first time and your results were not good you may need to use more than you are or even need to change which scent you ordered, even though they say they are universal i have found they work differently (the 613 does not work for me). I have always used high end products and while Wen seems to be pricey once you start using it you have no need for all those other products so I found I was saving money! I have people at work always asking me what I use because my hair is so soft and shiny. My highlights do last nicely as well as hold the color AND now after doing my hair for years my hairdresser is using Wen...I can't wait til June for the gallon offer!

worth the money
"Like many people, I debated over trying Wen for a long time. I watched the infomercials, I listened to the testimonials, I watched countless QVC presentations, and finally decided to take the chance. At first, I honestly was not impressed with Wen; I think I was still in the "old shampoo" mindset on how I expected a hair cleaning system should work. So after a couple of Wen debacles, I sat down and re-read the directions, being careful to really follow it step by step. I am now a Wen believer, BIG TIME!! From the first time or two that you use it correctly, you can really see and feel a huge difference from regular shampoo to Wen. You just have to have the patience to really follow the directions. I am highly sensitive to scents and smells, so I tried the cucumber/aloe, both for what I hoped would be a mild scent and my hair needs. It is a perfect fit. The scent is subtle enough not to bother me at all (I’d like to try the sweet almond mint next, but worry about how strong the scent might be…..), and it does wonders for my hair and scalp. I have very long hair, but it is baby fine with a perm, so I don't always use the "recommended" dosage; there are days when I can get away with using less, and other days (my "spa days" at home), where I really "lather" it up, pin it up, and go for the really intense conditioning. I have also discovered the cucumber/aloe leave in conditioner/hair gel product - it comes in this crazy small bottle (but you get two at a time). When I first got that I thought the size was a joke, especially since it is just as expensive as a large bottle of the cleansing conditioner, but the leave in product is also great. A little really does go a long way, and so those small bottles do last a goodly amount of time. I wish the cost were a little lower, but nothing beats having a GREAT head of hair and for now, and hopefully well into the future, I can afford the cost. I would recommend - just be patient, follow the directions, and really give it a chance."

Great for oily scalp
This is the best "flavor" for my oily scalp. I have a good, full head of long hair and I only wash it once a week. I tried the other types and didn't get the same clean scalp as I do with cucumber aloe. I use the other types on my four year old and she has always had great long thick hair. We love our Wen.

not impressed
I really wanted to love this. I was first surprised by the smell. I expected it to smell clean and fresh like a cucumber but it was very similar to muscle cream and so was the consistency. I decided to try it for a few days and see if I could get past the smell. However, because I have longer hair ( past shoulders) it says a total of 48 pumps worth of product for each use. Well in 4 days, I had used nearly half the bottle. I feel that is extremely expensive for a bottle which might last two weeks if I used less than suggested. I also didn't find that it did anything amazing for my hair. It still washed out my color just like all other products I have used and I could still smell the menthol or camphor all day. I wont purchase this again and I cant say I would recommend it to anyone because of the price and the smell. I have used tea tree oil before and that didn't burn my skin and scalp nearly as bad as this.

Left me with dull, oily hair
This is the second time I've tried Wen. I thought maybe I didn't use it properly last time. So this time I paid attention carefully to the broadcast. I used copious amounts, added more water, rinsed, and repeated. The first day, my hair didn't look so bad, though it did look oily by 6 pm. The second and third days were awful. My hair was dull, limp, and dirty looking. By day four I'd had enough, and went back to my regular shampoo with much relief. Mr Dean: if loving my regular shampoo is wrong, I don't want to be right! This product does not work for me.

Love It
This product is wonderful! Makes my hair manageable. I am now able to grow my hair out and it looks great! I used to have to shampoo my hair everyday, now only every other day. Worth the money!

wonderful
I love Wen Cleaning Conditioner and use it all the time. My only problem with this order and it will sound silly is; the bottle is too tall to fit in my bathroom cabinets. The bottles in the past have been shorter and rounder.

WENing For 3 Years!
I'm a huge fan of several formulas, but I put a pump of cucumber aloe into my bath with jets and it is MIRACULOUS for my skin!!

Great.. but used alone caused me hair loss
I have been using Wen for several years, and I love it. I do not, however, use it alone without shampoo. I have a unique hair situation where I get flakes on my scalp (from oily buildup, not dandruff) but my hair is curly, dry, and damages easily. So, I have to clean my scalp well enough that I don't have buildup, and I have to condition the rest of my hair well enough that it behaves well. I try to wash my hair only 2 to 3 times per week, since it is curly and frequent washing is not good for my hair type.
I was using Wen for a couple years with shampoo, and decided last year that I should go full Wen, and use nothing else. Everything was great for the first couple of months - my hair looked awesome! Then I started noticing I was losing an INSANE amount of hair when I washed my hair. Before I went to "Wen only," I was losing a small amount of hair about the size of a marble every time I washed. When I switched full on to Wen with no shampoo, I was losing PALM sized clumps of hair every time I washed it. I was getting extremely concerned, and even started taking a vitamin for healthy hair, and I worried that something was really wrong with me health-wise. Then, I did some searches online and found that other women were having similar issues with massive hair loss with the use of this product. I couldn't use the other formulations of Wen, because they cause too much buildup. The Cucumber Aloe is great because it is astringent enough to clean my scalp well, and moisturizing enough for the rest of my hair.
Finally, I was so concerned, that I switched back to regular shampoo and conditioner, but my hair looked really awful. It was really frizzy, and I could barely comb it. So, I tried washing my scalp only with dandruff shampoo, and followed with the use of Wen all over my scalp and hair, and that seems to be the trick. After a month of that, I stopped losing those massive amounts of hair, and now lose what one would consider a normal amount during washing. I find that I can also go a day or so longer between shampoos than when I used Wen only, because using the dandruff shampoo cleans my scalp a little better than Wen alone. For any skeptics of my story, I always followed the directions for use - I use as much product as directed (although boy do you run out of this expensive cleanser fast using the recommendations), and rinse really well. I guess for some people, something about these formulations just causes a lot of hair loss, something that can be mitigated by the use of a shampoo with this product. I won't give up Wen completely though, as it is the only product that makes my hair even somewhat manageable. I just use it more like a conditioner than an all-in-one cleanser.

WOW AND AMAZING!
Dear Chaz:
This product is a game changer. I just turned 50 and my hair got nasty to the point I was thinking about shaving my head and getting it over with. Oily scalp and dry dry hair. It's just passed my shoulders and naturally curly especially the more gray it gets. I hated the look when it was curly and I hated the look when I dried it straight. It looked dead and dry like the wicked witch of the west! As a woman when your hair looks bad it makes you feel bad and everyday becomes a bad hair day. I've been using this now for about a month and it gets better and better each week. It's soft and pretty curly or straight. It does shed some in the shower but nothing in the brush or comb like before. I purchased this in the TSV with the conditioner and styling cream, love it all. Before I had to wash everyday because by day to I had so much dandruff it was embarrasing. Now I can go 2 full days on the same wash, sometimes 3. But by far day 1 is the best. I even tried my old shampoo one day just to see the difference and Wow. It was soooo bad, dry and yuckie just like before. Thank you for this great product.
