WEN by Chaz Dean Choice of 32 oz Cleansing Conditioner
Best Purchase Ever
My hair looks and feels better than ever before. I have short hair with a lot more body and overall, wonderful feel to it. Would highly recommend it to my friends. Really enjoy not having to use a separate conditioning treatment that makes my hair flat and no body. It took a little getting used to, not having the lather, but love it now!
Just Returned to Wen
I have had a horrible time with itchy scalp from coloring my hair. Found that the only thing that helps is Wen Tea Tree formula. After several years of using it with great results I changed to the Hair One from Sally Beauty (they say it's a generic of Wen). Had great results but after about 6 months the horrible itching came back. Just received my order of the Wen Tea Tree from QVC and with the first use I could feel the difference. And after 1 week the itching is completely gone! I won't make the mistake of changing to the generic again!
Also I have used the travel packs (assortment) when going on trips. They are great! Other travel packs I used were single use, so I thought they were a little expensive - - but I found that I get 3 uses from each pack (I have fairly short hair)! I won't go on a trip without them again!!!
From Almond Mint to Pomegranate, NEXT Tuscan Pear!
I love the way Wen makes my hair feel. I have long fine, slightly wavy, tinted hair. I'm a hairdresser so I have tried 100's of 'professional salon' products over my 34 years of hairdressing. Some better then others. I have issues with some frizziness & dry ends. Wen has improved this issue. However my hair does not look as smooth & bouncy as the models on QVC after styling. I agree with some previous posters about the 'COST' I feel that if Chaz made this slightly less expensive, he'd have DOUBLE the clients. I can't even get my clients to try WEN, once they see the price they all back off. I like the Almond Mint, and using the 'Pom' now but wouldn't reorder that 1 again. And the Apple-Spice is just GROSS. Too strong, smells like you spilled maple syrup in your hair. And 'everything' smells like it, pillow, towel, till you wash it out! So next, due to the overwhelming positive reviews I see, I'm trying the 'Pear'. I have already suggested to Chaz , next try some formulas with 'Sandalwood & Patchoulli' scents included. Hair would smell deliciously AMAZING!!! Hint-Hint WEN!!!.....ARE YOU LISTENING CHAZ???
African American 4B 4C type hair
Love WEN! I use the Fig cleansing conditioner. Detangles cleans and softens my hair. I'm a natural hair girl and of course use other products in addition to WEN for styling and twisting my hair. Works well with my styling products. I've also used WEN as an over night deep conditioner- results in more managable comb through for my thick hair. Love it. Its pricey but what natural hair care product isn't these days. Its worth it. Hate when I run out cause then I have to settle for less.
Not Sold on Wen yet
It's nothing special so far. I've been using it about a month. After a few times my hair has been getting greasy. I read the reviews and saw maybe I wasn't using enough. I tried it and It didn't work and really doesn't make sense as a solution to me. I went "no poo" for a year just baking soda and vinegar and my hair felt better than this. I'm going to finish the bottle and see if my hair just needs to get used to not being dries out by regular shampoo.
Help for scalp breakouts
Didn't know what WEN was until seeing article in October issue of Vogue magazine about conditioner hair washing. Had seen wen presentations but thought it was a line of shampoos. After reading the article, looked at Wen on qvc.com. Read carefully about the formulas to choose your product. I am acne prone (still, at 50+!) and have breakouts on my scalp so chose the tea tree formula. Hair feels clean and less dry and breakouts seem to be diminishing. Hair seems more manageable as well. Gave 4 stars for now, will see how longer term use pans out. Would not recommend as a gift unless I knew the person used it, large quantity of personal care item.
Only Use WEN now
It took many years but I now only use WEN to cleanse my hair - never shampoo. I originally tried the Fig formula about 10 years ago and hated it - it built up in my hair after a few uses and I found my naturally curly hair frizzy and unmanageable. Years later, my dog was suffering severely from allergies and I tried the Tea Tree formula on him and it worked wonders. He wasn't scratching and a chewing as mush from dry itchy skin. I too started using the Tea Tree which was working soo great in my hair.
Please understand the different formulas are not just the fragrances but work differently for the specific hair types indicated. I kept using Tea Tree until I discovered the Bamboo Green Tea - my favorite! But darn it if I can ever catch a special value with that formula! It seems the majority agree with me and it's always sold out!
In the meantime, I love Fig again but I wear my hair the complete opposite from when I tried it the first time - highlighted and straightened with high heat tools (read: dry and dead) so it is thriving from the supreme moisture of Fig. I also mix in the Six Thirteen for a nice treatment weekly. This one smells amazing to me as well.
Look at the Protein Source
I wasn't paying attention and chose one of the Soy products. With a Hypothyroid condition, it had a negative effect. Tried one of your Rice products and didn't like the feel. I am back to your Wheat products but would like to be able to experience some of your Seasonal scents.... they are all Soy.
Best Hair Product I've EVER Used!
I purchased WEN 32 oz Fig Cleansing Conditioner for my long (to my waist), thick, and wavy hair. I am 47, and do not use any heat products on my hair, and still, it was hard to comb out after washing with my regular shampoo/conditioner. Consequently, I dreaded hair-washing days. My shipment came yesterday, and I immediately used the Cleansing Conditioner and was absolutely shocked at the way my hair responded. I used 24 pumps, and split it into the recommended cleanse, rinse, and repeat option. I didn't quite understand the instructions and -- my mistake -- I towel dried my hair before adding 1/2 pump for my leave-in. This is wrong. The instructions say to add the additional 1/2 pump to soaking wet hair. I guess it just didn't make sense to me. My hair still feels great, it was a dream to comb out. I air-dried as usual, and it isn't frizzy at all. It's soft and silky, has great shine, and a lot more body than usual. I just purchased the Styling Cream, Nourishing Mousse, and the medium round brush to add to my collection. I'm a happy WEN girl. My only advise is to really understand the instructions to achieve maximum results. Soaking wet literally means dripping in the shower. I watched a video and Chaz Dean recommended keeping all of the products in the shower to use before you ever even get out. I think that's a great idea.

Have been wanting to try WEN for quite some time and finally decided to take the plunge. Got the Pomegranate and loved it! My hair color looked great and my hair had volume (I have very thick, fine hair). However, I do wash my hair ever day as it gets oily and even WEN couldn't change that. Just shy of a month I had gone through a 32 oz bottle! I was using WEN just as instructed but I can't afford to go through a bottle a month! My purchase is on auto delivery and I can't alter the delivery date. So, went to the local Sephora to get another bottle. No Pomegranate so thought I would try the Mint Almond until my next delivery. Horrible! My hair is lifeless and flat and my scalp itchy and flaky. I am going back to my regular shampoo and conditioner. I can afford it and it never did anything like this to my scalp. I'm still debating on whether or not to try the Pomegranate when I get my next auto delivery. But I still have plenty of time to think about it before the next shipment at the end of November!
Was encouraged to try when visiting my mom and really liked it. Ordered as soon as I got home and now my husband and young children also use daily. Husband's hair is coming in thicker! Both of my children's hair having beautiful results. Will add that I had to figure out the best way to rinse my hair was in layers using brush as I rinse out but I have unusually thick hair, minus the frizz now! Happy Happy!
EXCELLENT FOR MOISTURE ONLY!!!!
I love WEN.... BUT... I noticed that it causes me to lose a lot more hair than other non Wen conditioners, I do not know why this is but it is the case. This Wen Cleanser is great if you have DRY BRITTLE, OVER PROCESSED, BLEACHED hair because it puts A LOT OF MOISTURE into the hair. BUT if your hair is healthy or semi- healthy, you can MIX WEN with a non wen protein conditioner so that your hair doesn't get over moisturized and it will reduces the hair loss greatly. Works like a charm for me !
