Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised for it's size I just bought this (fit) Vornado a few days ago. I needed something small and quiet to place in my cubicle at work. It's perfect. I went back to the store and purchased another one for my home office. I've been a fan of the Vornado products for over forty years. My parents had Vornado fans when I was a child. We only had a big window air conditioner in the living room. It was a big ranch style house and we had one of the big giants that was on a stand, and two of the three speed desk type. Those fans circulated the cold AC air all through the house. Dad never turned the window AC unit any higher that low speed, and the Vornado's kept the house at a nice 68 to 69 degrees all summer long. They are still running all these years later. That was back in the days when you could oil the motors and they would run indefinitely. I now have nine Vornado fans from 1947 to the present. I know there not built like they were in the old days, but at least they still have that deep pitch blade design. That's important. The motor can run at a slower rpm saving electricity but you still get a nice amount of air output. There's been some copy cats out there trying to duplicate the blade design, but there not a Vornado. And I am thrilled they brought back the variable speed control switch on some of their fans. I can only hope they start placing the variable speed switches on more of their fans. So for the little (fit) model, your can't go wrong for the money. It's small, quiet, has two speeds, tilts, portable, nice long cord, and puts out a surprising amount of air for it's size. And they placed a fuse in the plug for safety. I only ask that they put a carrying handle on the back. There are two small round holes on the back at the top. They could drill them through and put a nice grade plastic handle on it and have screws hold it on from the inside where the fan goes together. It would look like a handle on a kitchen drawer. That's my only complaint. I'm going to buy two more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not an American made product and does not cool a small room. I wanted an American made fan and Vornado showed up in my search online. I was happy to see so many models and read the reviews. Vornado sent it promptly to me and I eagerly used it in my bedroom night stand since I do not have central air in my home but I found my old stand by upright fan worked far better than this portable one from Vornado. So I used it in my office a much smaller room but it did not cool it either, then I used it for close up work at a workstation, and this is where it works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little fan! This little fan has impressed me. When I pulled it out of the box, I noticed the attractive color and design. It was easy to unfold and set up. The cord length is OK. I didn't have far to plug it in, but I'd say it's an average length cord. I put it in a large bedroom and turned it on to see what it could do. Up close it didn't seem like it would circulate much air at all, but when I went to the other side of the room, I could actually feel a "breeze". That impressed me very much. This is a perfect little fan for an office, a bedroom, or even camping if you have power outlet access. The only thing I wish was different was if it there was a choice of how to power it -- either by electricity or batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK for a small fan My 5-year-old fell in love with the fan and falls asleep with it on. If you need something powerful, this isn't it; but if you need a small, fairly quiet little fan for your desktop or by your bed, this will do the job. It supposedly has 2 speeds, but I don't notice much difference between the two. It's pretty easy to adjust the angle, and the base has proved pretty sturdy. I also like that once it's in position, it doesn't flop down easily, but it's not hard to move. The grey fan with a translucent aqua base and aqua blades gives it a nice modern look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little fan! I love this little fan. I can promise you that "looks can be deceiving" perfectly describes this little fan. We have used it to replace our big box fan and it works better without all the noise. It works great I would purchase more of them for the other rooms in our house. I received this for free in exchange for a review
