Vitamix Creations II 48 oz. 12-in-1 Variable Speed Blender
This Vitamix is worth every penny. I had so many smoothie machines that did the job but did not last long and you could not grind peanuts or hard cheese or even bread crumbs. No more store bought grated cheese or jar peanut butter. Fresh bread crumbs any time I want. I am using this machine more than I thought I would . Why did I wait so long?
In 2014 I've had the Healthmaster, Nutribullet, Ninja 1100 and the
Ninja 1500. My search for the perfect blender is over with the vitamix. My only regret is I couldn't afford the 64oz pitcher.Love it!
Best purchase in blenders
Extremely satisfied with the blender. No need to own a colander. Great investment in this time of year. I have the ninja and I am not satisfied at all. I had a juicer and the motor died too. Excited to see how long the blender will last.
What was I thinking
Maybe if I had a huge kitchen was young and starting out but I opened this thing and felt so intimidated - then shopping in a large goods store (C) - saw its cousin with the larger canister and it claims to do everything including cleaning - No this is not for me - I need a simple strong blender - not one with a guide book and CD teacher. As ridiculous as it sounds I am packing this monster up and returning it.
Purchased as a gift
They seem to love it. Will purchase another for myself later.
Still the best after more than 4 years of use!
It is hard to believe that I have had my Vitamix for well over 4 years now. I purchased this very same model on QVC shortly after it began featuring Vitamix products. I find, as time goes by, am using it more than ever. I decided to purchased the dry blade container separately and have been grinding assorted whole grains to make hot cereal. I made confectioner's sugar from granulated sugar when I did not have any on hand and whipped cream (watch it carefully because it will turn into butter if you are not careful!). Aside from smoothies and shakes, I have made my own flour to thicken gravies and to bake with, salad dressings, pesto, salsa, soup, nut butters, dips, sorbet, ice cream and have chopped veggies in it. My expensive Cuisinart 11-cup food processor has gotten very little use ever since. There are so many similar rave reviews, I really did not need to write one. However, I wanted to testify the expense was so worth it, it is a workhorse and it is still going strong.
What A Waste !
Wanted a Vitamix for sooo long. Finally ordered one and I am very disappointed. Had an Oster that worked just as good; maybe better. I have read the manual and watched the DVD and still get mediocre results from this thing. Have tried different drinks and sorbets. Not smooth. Save your your money !
Purchased this for my husband for a Christmas gift and it is awesome. We made soup last night and it came out hot and creamy just like they show on the demo. We also made frozen yogurt which set up in about 15 seconds. Amazing. Looking forward to using the recipe booklet to make many more things. It is easy to clean too!
Vitamix Creations II 48 oz
QVC delivered sooner than expected and we love this Vitamix! Bought it as a Christmas present for Linda who was hesitant at first to use it then immediately fell in love with its soup making possibilities.I enjoy making shakes, juices and smoothies.I was concerned about the plastic container leaving a cloudy film that forms on some of the Vitamix products but after reading how to properly clean and dry the container,it still looks brand new. Very highly recommended!
This is an amazing blender. It grinds the grains into powder, that is how good this product is. This texture of the fruits are so well blended and not clumpy.
Makes interesting Soup
Yes this product makes killer smoothies, it can also make soup. We made Cream of Broccolli soup, it made it hot just like they said it would, however the soup had a very foamy consistency and that was a little off putting.
The blender is awesome just be prepared for odd soup consistency
Love, love, love!!!
Have had this for a few days and absolutely love it!! Had the Nutribullet 900 and replaced it with the Vitamix and have no complaints! Makes smoothies in seconds and clean up is a breeze.
Some tips are to make sure the two clips on the lid are perpendicular the handle on the container to avoid any leakage. Also, place a towel under the unit to help reduce noise.
It blows through frozen fruit with ease and pulvarizes nuts and seeds.
A must for everyone, and with the flex pays, it's a no brainer!
