Vitamix Creations 48 oz. 15-in-1 2-Speed Blender w/Dry Container
not what I wanted
If you just want to make smoothies, grind coffee or mill flours, this is a nice
machine. However, it's a pricey, well engineered blender. The macine is great, but I am going to need to upgrade in order to utilize the features like food processing. I just don't have the control I want wirh this model. I hope this helps!
I expected this product to be better made for its cost. Hard plastic and rubber is easily broken down with constant use. I am so disappointed.
Great 2 speed vitamix
I like other reviewers love my vitamix, however if I had to do it again, I would order the variable setting model. Other than that I love it. It can handle anything you put in it!
Handles everything I put in it!
Fruit, frozen or not, this machine does it all & fast!
Love it, but would buy the variable speed next
Crushes and blends wonderful green smoothies, whipped cream, marinades, and more. Love the dry container for flax seeds and nut butters, but I think my food processor makes better nut butter.
Can't chop in it because it only has two settings: high, and low. I would definitely buy it again, but I would buy the variable speed with the dial setting.
I love, love, love my Vitamix. I work 3 jobs and have little time to play with it, but so far everything I have made is excellent. I love the way it makes smoothies, better than any I have ever tasted. The peanut butter is fantastic and the Schubert ice cream's are the best. I use mine at least 4 times a week, I love the performance and I am so glad I bought it. It is an investment and I can't wait to make the soups. I really thought a smoothie was a smoothie, but there is a big difference with this blender. I am giving my NurtaBullet away, there is no comparison. Don't sit on the fence, this machine is worth the money. Peanut butter and salsa were on my grocery list every week, no longer do I have to buy things that are full of salt and preservatives.
Note the "2-speed" in the title
I was somewhat disappointed in this Vitamix. Since it appeared to be endorsed by the Culinary Institute of America, I expected a full functioning machine - I didn't really pay attention to the "2 speed" designation. It does not have the variable speeds used to make soups and ice cream like most VitaMixes. It will do that, but not as well. I was also interested in the dry ingredients container, but I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. At some point, I will probably replace this one with one of the other models.
Container Moves On Base
I like the Vitamix but worry about the gears because the container shifts on the base when you turn it on. I called Vitamix thinking something was wrong & was told it is normal. My common sense tells me that movement from the pitcher could eventually wear on the gear underneath. I first tried the variable speed but opted for this one because of the dry container. I now wish I had kept the variable speed & paid the extra for the dry pitcher. I don't remember the container moving like this on the variable.
Just get it -- you won't be disappointed!
Yes, it's all true and it does exactly as everyone says. I do use it almost daily. It never ever jams (it does require some additional liquid sometimes but that's not a jam). Under $100 blenders are no longer a part of my kitchen.
I wish that I had gotten the Vitamix a long time ago. Get it. You won't be disappointed.
I LOVE MY VITAMIX!
I just LOVE this machine! I wish we hadn't waited for so long to purchase, but as it's a substantial cost, we just put it on the back burner. But, I have to say, it's worth EVERY penny! This QVC deal just couldn't be passed up. We've made smoothies, as well as hot soups, and the BEST peanut butter I've ever tasted. We've made a few things for my elderly mom (91 years young) and she liked the foods so much that we are thinking to get her one for her daycare aids to use while making her foods. She recently got dentures, but only wants to wear them on special occasions, lol. Therefore, most of her meals need to be soft foods. She gets tired of oatmeal, cereal, and the few soups that her daycare givers are able to make from scratch. The Vitamix will give them a huge variety of options.
I am so glad we purchased this Vitamix. When we buy hers, we'll probably want the one with more speed options, but for my husband and I, the 2 speed is just perfect as most of the recipes we make usually start out on low, and then go right to high anyway.
Words cannot express how much I enjoy this item. Do not hesitate to buy it!
Vitamix Creations 48 oz. 15-in-1 2-Speed Blender w
I received mine a couple of days ago and ordered the aqua one it is not a bright color kind of dull but pretty. Everyone said it was loud but after using it and having tried the other blender of about the same price range it is only about half the loudness of the last one but I really liked the way this performed it is so smooth and efficient would recommend it to everyone.
