Vitamix 7500 12-in-1 64 oz. Under Cabinet Variable Speed Blender
Ordered this when it was a TSV and we absolutely love it. Just wish we could order the other Vitamix cookbooks offered in other combinations of the product. I did also end up ordered the dry mix container and use both several times per week.
love my Vitamix!
I love my Vitamix. I know they're expensive but they aren't well worth the money as u can do so much with them. I wouldn't settle for anything less.
I had watched this multiple times on air and each time was hesitant to purchase b/c I wasn't sure if I really would use it...finally took the plunge and I'm so glad I did. I keep it on my counter (which I normally don't do because I don't like things on my counter) because I literally use it EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
Then comes along canning season...let me tell you the ease of doing tomatoes is absolutely amazing and you can use the entire tomato so no waste...GREAT!!
I recommend to all my friends and family..don't wait order today!!
i have always heard wonderful things about the vitamix and it lived up to the expectations. there is a learning curve, but it makes my breakfast so healthy every morning. we no longer purchase protein smoothies from the gym, so overtime, it will pay for itself. i use it at least once a day, some days i use it 3-4 times. it can do everything!
The work is in the preparation, not the use
The Vitamix 7500, with the new motor technology, is much quieter, more powerful and easy to use. With a full 7 year warranty, where shipping is comped both ways for service if needed, this is indicative that this USA made machine is very well made. The slurpee bottles are very handy and are made by Thermos. I saw these exact bottles for $13 each in the grocery last week but with no Vitamix name on them.
Like every thing there is a learning curve, whether it be riding a bike, cooking or using this unit. The tendency can be to over process the ingredients which they mention. Because the unit works so fast, this can be easy to do. The cookbooks are excellent and there are numerous on-line recipes. The Vitamix staff is very helpful.
The downsides are significant for me. The EXPENSE: all fresh ingredients are costly and do not keep for more than a week. These ingredients are not stocked in my home. This means that PREPARATION must be planned ahead of time. It is sometimes difficult to buy in the small quantities required. The PREPARATION TIME: When the Vitamix is demonstrated, there are numerous people behind the scenes preparing portioning out the ingredients for the host to use. As the viewer, all you see are the small dishes containing the ingredients, which the host dumps into the unit. You do NOT see the work involved in the accumulation of these ingredients, the measuring - the time intensive tasks. All you see is how easy it is to make soup or a slurpee - which is true - after you have gotten everything together. It would be nice if Vitamix developed a substitutions list for ingredients. For example can I break off a chunk of frozen spinach to use in place of fresh spinach leaves? How big a chunk?
This is an excellent unit which I will never use to its potential. Yes, I know how to cook, but no longer want to spend the time required. If I want apple juice, I will buy it.
Very happy with the Vitamix. Definitely worth the money.
I have the Creations Vitamix from QVC and love it. It has two speeds and made smoothies in about 30 seconds. This one has one speed and the dial increases the motor speed up to 9 and then slows when advanced to 10. Strange. Also, I had chunks of ice and a piece of apple in my smoothie even after letting it run longer. I thought the under the counter feature would be nice but it doesn't fit with the lid on. It also doesn't heat up for soup, etc. The only thing I like is the shorter, wider container which is easier to clean. I had to send it back. Thankfully customer service was great and will take of shipping charges back.
I would have given this 5 stars if it had fit under my cabinets. The only way it would fit is if I took the lid off. It may be due to the thick quartz countertop we have. We have 42" cabinets that go to the ceiling also. The blender is awesome. It performs as advertised. We have been doing the green smoothie thing for a month. My husband has lost 24 pounds.
FAVORITE KITCHEN APPLIANCE
I have another vitamix model that's great, but after 8 years wanted to move up to this model. We just love it! I like the sleeker body redesign and quieter motor, not to mention the new pitcher size to fit under the cabinet! I use it every day, sometimes many times a day! I have done everything with it that QVC does in their presentations. I am always amazed at what this baby can do and how fast and convenient it is. I bought the red and it pops in my kitchen. Have fun in the kitchen, buy a VITAMIX. Love the easy pays.
I have wanted a vitamix for years and finally broken down and got it on easy pay. I got it within 5 days and I am not excited. It may be that I just don't know how to use it or maybe I expect to much from this $500 purchase but I am not a happy camper.
I love my Vitamix 7500
I have had my model since January and use it almost everyday and sometimes several times a day. I eat healthier now and don't waste near as mush fresh produce! I wish this model would go back on easy pay so I could get my mother one! I noticed it is now on the Vitamix site, so maybe QVC isn't going to carry it? I missed the $50 dry container special. I wish they offered that to anyone who bought a Vitamix recently!
Not a consistant blend and motor slippage
So excited to get this. We have been using our Kitchen Aide and thought how much nicer this would be. Very disappointed in it's performance. Not sure what is going on with it but the motor sounds different everytime I use it. Sometimes it would not even change its speed even when the contents were liquified and slowly turned up to high. It sounds like the motor is slipping. Sad but it's going back and I'm going to just stick with my Kitchen Aide. It did a good job, just took longer but was consistant in performance. Also noticed it is no longer offered on QVC. I've always heard great things about Vitamix so it makes me wonder if this model is just a dud.
