Vionic w/ Orthaheel Sara Orthotic Shoes with Addl Insert
Orthaheel shoes have terrific arch support
I am new to orthaheel. I was pleased with my first purchase so I purchased three more shoes and a pair of slippers. I really like the Sara style. I have to unvelcro the strap to take the shoe on and off without smashing the back of the shoe which might not work for some. The shoe is very comfortable with great arch support. I think the shoe breathes well - my feet don't get hot and sweaty like some shoes can do. I plan on replacing all my shoes with Orthaheel overtime. I have had three knee surgeries so good foot support is really important to me.
I wore this pair of shoes around the house because it looked so comfortable on QVC. Unfortunately, it did not work for me. There is something definitely wrong with the right shoe. The seam on the upper right side of the shoe is most uncomfortable on my skin. I saw the same problem described in one of the comments. I could not get the shoe to bond with my feet. Unfortunately, this item had to be returned.
Works For Me
This is my first pair of Vionic. I was a bit sceptical. I was recently diagnosed with a heel spur and have been searching for a shoe that I could wear for work. Normally by the middle of my shift I can barely walk. Today I made it through the entire shift and more. I am sold. MUST GET MORE!!
Ran Super WIde
Very disappointed. I thought these would be very comfortable and they probably would have been if they haven't run so wide. Even with the strap as tight as it would go, they were still too wide.
"I am thrilled to get this shoe for my 12 year old grand-daughter. She has cerebral palsy and over pronates on one side. She has had surgery twice for this problem. I checked with her orthopedist before letting her wear these but the smile on her face when she put them on was wonderful. She says they are so comfortable. I am so thrilled that she is comfortable and hopefully they will help her mobility. She also thinks they are cute! What could be better!!
Please, check with you own doctor before trying these for medical conditions."
Great Insole, but very uncomfortable
I have several sandals and have never had any issues with them. This was my first closed shoe style. The stitching by the small toe on each foot was killing me about one hour after I started to wear them. I even gave them a second try on another day to be certain and again I could not bear it. It's a real shame because the style is cute and the insoles really do help your feet. Fix the stitching and I am sure this style would sell better.
Attractive, well-made, comfortable shoe. My daughter and I both love ours.
I haven't worn Maryjane type shoes since I was a little girl! These are so comfortable, love the support and the strap adjustability. Will be looking to order another pair!
A Great Shoe
I don't understand the negative reviews, except that perhaps some like a little softer insole; however Orthaheel did send out a new softer replacement (which I do not use).
I wear this shoe often and it's one of the best Orthaheel styles I own. I only wear Orthaheel shoes since my first pair. My left foot has a serious rigid flat foot, it is very hard for me to find an orthotic or shoe that is comfortable and will give my foot the support it needs. I'm so happy to see that Orthaheel has brought this shoe back and I plan on ordering each color, as soon as we get toward the end of summer. Thank you Orthaheel for bringing Sara back.
love these orthaheels
however, the right shoe cuts my foot right where the seam is. i can only wear them for a couple hrs a day. i have a couple other sandals and wish they would make more in wide.
Vionic w/Orthaheel Sara ...great purchase.
These shoes have really made a difference for my heel spur. I can now walk early in the morning, whereas before I was nearly cripple. The pain was so bad, I couldn't walk ten feet. It did take a little while to get use to the high arch, but it feels so good. I bought pretty sandals also. Going back for more. Two pair actually.
I bought these after trying the Tide sandals and wanted to try a "closed" shoe. I sometimes where size 9, sometimes 91/2. I ordered these in both sizes. The 9 was too short and too narrow, so they want back. The 91/2 was a little big, especially a little wide. (I think my foot is about a size 91/4...) In the winter, I wear these with very heavy wool socks (rated for -30 degree weather). In warmer weather, I wear these with heavy athletic type socks. The heavy socks provide extra cushioning and take up the extra space in the shoes. I wore them for hours walking around NYC in December's cold weather and they were very comfortable. I've had "flat feet" since elementary school and love arch support! The leather on the shoes seems to be decorative. The shoes feel/breathe like synthetic shoes, but not a problem with wool socks!
