These are WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even want to ever take them off!!!!!!!!! I have a high instep and these provide much-needed stability and proper posture for me. They are sooooo comfortable. I have a couple of other Orthoheel shows (flip-flops), and definitely will be back for more!!!!!

Cute But not for my Feet
These are very nice sandals and ordering a size down was the right
thing to do. But, the adjustable straps that went over the top of my feet
were too long. When I had them properly tightened, the strap was touching
the floor, they were too long. I wish they would have fit me better because
I did like them.

ankle strap too short
Very comfortable sandal but the ankle strap was way too short. Very disappointing because it was a great feeling sandal that I believe would have been a great walking sandal.

Love these sandals
After I ordered these I read the reviews and became worried that the ankle strap would be too tight because I have a high instep. I almost canceled the order but forgot to and it was already shipped out when I thought of it the next day. I'm glad I did not cancel because the ankle strap was just fine for me but I could see if a person had larger ankles or swelled ankles the strap would end up being too tight. I liked the sandal so much I ordered another pair in another color.

Almost There
I agree with the others about the ankle strap just a touch more to reach the other side of the velcro to stay secure. I have other Orthaheel and enjoy the support. I do prefer a back to my shoe and the additional ajustments. My feet are very sensitive to any pokey things underfoot and these have small pin like bumps perhaps where taken from a mold or something. No one else mentioned it so maybe it was just my pair. I wear a size 5 and appreciate that you bring these in this size.

short strap
I have other orthaheels ~ sandals, slippers.... ~ and love them. I really wanted to love these but the ankle strap is just too short. The forefoot fits fine and the shoe is well made and otherwise very comfortable but the ankle strap needs to be made longer. After reading other reviews I see that this is an issue for many of us. So please listen and consider a version that allows for people with a more substantial ankle, high instep, large heal, whatever the need, to be able to use these sandals too! Seriously, the brand is made and marketed as an "orthodic" but doesn't accommodate some of the reasons we need an orthodic! Otherwise I really like the shoe, the color, the style.

Had to return them, sadly
The ankle strap on these just wasn't large enough to accomodate my high instep and I had to return them. I love the shoes overall. I bought the Olive green color. I thought that the colors/style were great, but just didn't fit well.
beware if you have a high instep.
I purchased the sandals below (from the Orthoheel website...sorry) and they are PERFECT.

feel good
As soon as I received these, I put them on and my feet felt good after hurting all day. I have recently gotten plantar fasciitis and have extreme heel pain, and although my podiatrist recommended Orthaheel just the other day, he wasn't thrilled about this shoe. He said it would be better if it wasn't such a flat shoe and if the ball area wasn't as flexible as it is. I hate to send them back because they feel good, so I'm not sure what to do. The back area of my foot sits correctly in the shoe, but the front, toe area, is forced to the outside of the shoe because of the design. It doesn't "look" right, but it feels fine. I have time to decide, but my decision will only be based on how my doctor feels, because this is an expensive shoe and if it will hurt my plantar fasciitis more than help, I will return. I would recommend this shoe to most people and I wear size 11, and these shoes are a perfect fit.

Love!
Received these in the taupe the other day, and I have not stopped wearing them (except for showering and going to bed!). I generally take an 8-1/2 and sized down as recommended -- fit is perfect. I have several pairs of Orthaheels but these are by far the most comfortable. Having a high arch and instep myself, I find the arch support to be just right, not too high and uncomfortable, but definitely present. The heel is soft, and basically I find the entire footbed to be softer and squishier than my other Orthaheels. I love the idea of the backstrap -- as I get older, slip-ons are becoming more difficult to stay in. The taupe color is very pretty with the light blue trim. When my hubby gets the opportunity to wear his pair a bit more and has a definite opinion, I'll post on that too. So far though, so good. Thanks Orthaheel and the Q!

Fantastic Fit
I just received these in the mail. I wear orthodics in my shoes created by my foot doctor. This is the first pair of sandels that feel so wonderful without the doctor created orthodics. It is a bit cool (PA Winter) to wear everyday. However, will be using these sandels many times in the warmer weather. The support is great, the shoe is comfortable, and it looks very nice on the foot too! I sized down as suggested and the fit was perfect for me.
