I am a 64 year old woman suffering from Orthostatic Tremors. For me, unfortunately, it did not help. It is lightweight, seat is comfortable for short periods of time because of its size is what probably contributes to it's weight, however did not like the fact that for safety reasons you have to sit facing the cane part, for my condition it's not easy to do. I would still recommend because what didn't work for me may work for others, but maybe not so much for anyone that suffers from OT.

I've been in a wheelchair since 2002. I cannot lift anything over 5 pounds, so I cannot transport a manual wheelchair, or a walker of any kind. They all weigh over 5 pounds. I purchased two of these, one for each side of my body. The three legs at the bottom of each cane, when closed, allows the cane to "rock" gently as I walk! FINALLY, I can lift these!!! Everyone thinks they look adorable! If I need to sit down, I just open one up and sit! After all these years I have something. So, I went and bought two more of these for a total of four. Just in case something happens to the first two.
Thank you Travelon!!!

specifically bought this for my 82 yr old dad (196 lbs) to use at state fair (after seeing him walk and rest and trying to find a bench to sit on) and we all were NOT disappointed!!! i say all because it also came in handy for mom and kids. plus its super light and my dad used it as a walking cane too and actually helped him walk more and tire less. my dad keeps saying its the best gift he has ever gotten! he just loves it! went camping to Pismo Beach & went to Morro Bay and he didn't leave it behind! do wish the seat was a tad bigger and yes you have to straddle it for better support.......but I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!

Yes, the seat is small. If it was larger the cane would be too heavy to be convenient. The seat isn't meant to be an easy chair. And, yes, the seat is stiff to pull down. If it wasn't, it would be weak and unsafe. So, this cane does what it's supposed to do: it serves as a convenience for a person who needs a bit of rest on a walk, and a comfortable cane for the rest of the walk. Nice thing to have at a bus stop when waiting a while.

I have been looking for these chairs for a while we go to Quartszite, AZ every winter they have a large flea market in January and my husband gets tired of walking. So now he has a place to seat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Donna7650 Fantastic-best product I have ever bought.
I just can't say enough about this product. Perfect, perfect, perfect!!! I actually find the seat just fine and big enough for taking a rest. If it was any bigger I think it would be awkward to walk with or take with you. Thank God I'm short (4'10). I don't thing this would be good for anyone tall!

Now I can walk again. I have low back pain and need a rest for just a few minutes. This does the trick and I can get out more now. The seat is too small however, needs to be bigger, and also you must have good balance to use it to sit on. It does take practice to use but once you got it, it's great to get out for a walk with it. It takes the fear out of a walk to any wheres.

I just had to look up the Item Number and check if you still sold these. I bought mine over a year ago for a trip to Mexico. It worked so well for Air Ports and Waiting in Lines for attractions. Every time that I use this in Public, I have people come up to me and ask where to get one. Today, several people asked me if I got it in the Big Box Store I was shopping in. I just had to tell them, check on QVC...
