F09207 - Tony Horton's Push-up Power Stands
Chinese plastic, not metal. If you have a pet, dog, cat, you will be cleaning the static clinging hair, off of them, all of the time. They will do the job, Easy to assemble, but mine cost me postage, because they are going back. Cheep.
I purchased the P90x2 program about a month ago and needed some assistance doing push ups. Being a girl it is hard to do push ups. I bought these Tony Horton Push-up Power Stands and I am glad I did. They really help me keep my form and takes all the pressure off my wrists. It feels like my weight is now fully distributed on my whole arm, which is how it should be. After a few weeks of modified push ups I can now do a few reps of them with these power stands. Great Job Tony.
I purchased Tony Horton pushup stands 2 years ago for myself directly from Beach body and i assumed these stands were exactly like those since the prices were very close. To my disappointment the quality of this pair is so much cheaper than the first set. The first pair was made out of metal and each stand came as one unit. The pair I just rec'd was made out of plastic in China and I had to screw the bottom part into the handles. Also, the handles on the first pair are set higher up than the current ones. I can't tell where the first pair was made but I'm interested to know if they were made in the US. They work but I personally hate the difference between the 2 sets.
These power stands are a great addition to the P90X workout. You can feel the difference in using these and the padding is very helpful on your hands. They help you keep the correct form and allow you to be able to go lower with your push up.
BETTER THEN EXPECTED
I have been using push up stands that I bought for about $6 at the local fitness store. I have had great results so far, on day 69 of 1st round of P90X. I ordered a set for myself since I have been having some discomfort in my hands doing the push ups. Got these yesterday and I can't believe how nice they are.
Very large, much bigger then the picture shows, the grip is wonderful, cushioned with a large handle that feels ergonmically correct for my hands, I am a woman with small to medium size hands, that is the size of gloves I use.
The power stands have about a 12inch rubber/skid resistant based, very safe feeling, love this feature. In addition the handles are slightly angled for better range of motion.
I really feel safer and move comfortable doing push-ups with these power towers. Well worth the investment.
Thanks QVC for offering Beach body products and thanks Tony H, for a great design!!
