Classic toy in a classic tin for storage tin. Does not get much better than this!

I bought this tin and the Lincoln Logs for my husband's 63rd birthday. He has early onset Alzheimer's and this and the logs were something fun for him and I to play around with. He's an artist so the visuals and the colors make it easy for him to build things. The first thing he built was the swing. Then the windmill and fish (<><) which he has kept together since building them on his birthday. This is great for kids, adults, and the young-at-heart. If there are more pieces to purchase, I may add on to this kit.

My granddaughter loves to build things and is having a grand time with this. She especially likes that she can build things that move. Thank you for bringing this wonderful toy to my attention.

What is inside is out of proportion to the size of the can. It makes you have to go back and buy another can or the box with 150 pieces in it, which is $53.00.

I agree with the other reviewers, the can is out of proportion to the amount of building pieces. Also, not being wood as the original pieces of long ago, ruins it for me. I will keep it since I seem to have four great granddaughters that love building things. I do hope there will be additional pieces available.

My 4 year-old nephew couldn't put these tinker toys down. He really enjoyed being his own architect. Great gift for boys and girls. I would like to see additional pieces offered in plain packaging at a lower price.

The tin is sturdy but way, way, way over sized. There might be 1/4 of the tin full of the tinker toys, at the most. Looking at the guide provided for the kids to build with I don't think that if one child was building something there would be much left for someone else to play with. I'm not going to return them as I watch my two granddaughters daily and it's nice to have diversion and a different toy now and then helps. I wouldn't however recommend them for the price. Double the amount of toys might have filled up the container more, supplied more opportunities for play, and been a much better value. I'm usually so pleased with my QVC purchases, having shopped for over 20 years, but this one makes me sad. For a toy made in the USA, it should have been better.
