3/4 cup extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated and packed
3/4 cup Swiss cheese, grated and packed
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated and packed
3 cans white potatoes, thickly sliced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
2 jars Alfredo or white cream sauce
1/2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a 9'' x 13'' glass baking dish; set aside.
Combine the cheddar, Swiss, and Parmesan in a small bowl; set aside.
Arrange half of potato slices in the prepared baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the crumbled sausage and half of the cheese over the potatoes. Top with the remaining potatoes and cheese.
Pour the Alfredo sauce over the casserole followed by a sprinkle of the thyme. Bake, uncovered, for about 20 minutes, or until the center is hot and the edges are bubbly.
