I bought this machine when it first came out. I also bought all the accessories, weights, extentions, row counter, yarn winder, even the seperate ribbing bed. The most difficult part of the machine was keeping the knitting on the needles and dealing with the stretched yarn after inserting the heavy weights. The needles bend very easily so knowing how to replace them is necessary. They offer a spray to help the knitter glide across the needles more easily, however the improvment in operation did not warrant the price of the spray. When you have undisturbed time with the machine and do not mind reinserting dropped stiches, it is a good machine over-all. But do not expect to create a masterpiece in 1 day unless it is a one color blanket. Final word over-all most people will enjoy it very much.

Still getting the hang of it but it's fun and exciting! I'm not a knitter and I love the possibilities with this machine!

I purchased my Ultimate Sweater Machine Deluxe 3 years ago. On day one I finish a baby blanket, so cute. This machine is easy to use, I am still learning new stitches, I have purchased a couple of books, didn't think to call Bond direct, but I will do this now if needed.
This machine is also a quick way to whip up many little afghans for cats and dogs in shelters. Do a little charity work and help out.

I bought an Ultimate Sweater Machine years ago when they first came out and were only available through the Bond Company. Along and along, I bought all the accessories, which are included with this package. My children grew up wearing baby clothes, sweaters, etc., that I made with this machine, plus I kept my then-husband and all of his friends in camoflage sweaters to wear during hunting season. I literally wore my machine out. Now that my youngest child is off to college, I intend to invest in a new Sweater Machine, not only to continue making things for myself and my kids, but also hopefully to start a custom-knitwear business from my home. I heartily agree that the Bond Company provides great support for this machine, as well as numerous books and magazines with patterns for this machine. Any knitter would be making a wise purchase by buying this machine.

Okay, so maybe not your entire life, but it will turn you into a knitting maniac. This machine is durable, reliable, versatile and you can grow as much as you want to with it. It can be as simple as a super fast and easy way to make scarfs and knit yardage to do felting projects, or as complicated as a cool way to use any hand-knitting pattern you can find or dream up. Any kind of knitting: cables (big or small), seed stitch, lacey stiches, ribbing, intarsia and on and on. One of the best things about it that I like, is that it just takes away the tedious part of knitting. You still get to do the thinking/planning part, and there is soooo much to learn IF you want to. The company that makes this, Bond-America, is really, really supportive; they'll answer your knitting questions by phone, even at night! And they have tons of accessories, books and videos too. I tell ya, this machine is like a member of my family.
