"The Recipe Girl Cookbook" by Lori Lange
Disappointment for Me
Just a personal opinion-not my type of cookbook. I am a bit more conservative in my taste of cookbooks. Like more everyday basic cooking-Gwen Mckee type, Taste of Home, Betty Crocker etc. Saw other good reviews so I ordered it as I have seen her on facebook, etc.
Have to return-sorry. I have way to many cookbooks to keep one I don't love.
Maybe others would like--just not my taste.
Taste Bud Party
OMG! Can you say Delicious over and over again! I must say that “The Recipe Girl Cookbook” is a real find, I am a caterer and I collect cookbooks and this one is going on my top shelf. Last weekend I had friends over for Brunch and I thought, what a perfect occasion to test this book out! Our taste buds had a real party sipping the refreshing “Pomegranate Mimosas” while enjoying the down home goodness of the “Bacon and Corn Griddle Cakes”-the mixture of savory and sweet was too die for, we all felt like we were at a real Bed and Breakfast Inn in the middle of paradise. A few nights ago, I had a cocktail party to celebrate a good friend visiting and among my various appetizers, I made the scrumptious “Sausage, Sweet Potato and Caramelized Red Onion Pizza with Sage Pesto” and for dessert we all could not get enough of the brilliant “Nutella-filled Mexican Wedding Cookies”, so delicious…It was really sad that we all got too full, because we wanted nothing more than to eat and eat and eat! Lori Lange’s cookbook is and eclectic blend of recipes of comfort food to chic and sophisticated, and the photos are just good enough to eat as well. If you want an exciting cookbook to awaken your hungry soul that is creative and fabulous then this cookbook will be for you!
Simple And Delicious!
Love this cookbook! The recipes are easy to read, and more important they are easy and luscious to prepare! Keep them coming Lori!
