Delicious Gluten Free I got this item beause it is gluten free and I have a friend that is gluten intolerant. Served this over egg noodles and with a salad. Not only did my guest like it, but I thought it was delicious as well. My friend said that alot of times gluten free items can be lacking in flavor. This is definately not the case. The beef was super tender and we enjoyed the sauce that was both sweet and tangy at the same time. Thanks for bringing a great tasting gluten free entree. 08-02-11
Price exceeded quality This product was adequate but not worth the high price. The flavor was good but the chunks of meat were far too large, there was not enough sauce, and serving 4 would definitely be a stretch. 05-14-11
Flavorful and that is all Meat is flavorful but two pounds of this meat could not feed 3 people let alone 2. There is not anywhere near enough sauce. Yes these meals are convenient but not worth the money in any way shape or form. DO not spend the money. Barely fed 2 people in this house. 05-14-11
Disappointed While the beef was indeed flavorful, I kept biting into pieces of untrimmed fat. I wasn't very happy about that as a product with a $60 price tag should be of a higher quality. QVC was great about refunding my account, however, I would not recommend this product to other buyers. 04-25-11
Not Gourmet By Me The flavor was good and the meat itself was tender, but the one package I heated up was no better than I can make myself in my pressure cooker from an economical cut of beef. Also, there was an irregular piece (which would have filled a 1/2" cube) of all gristle among the large pieces of beef which were not all well-trimmed. One side of several pieces had membrane still attached. I don't cook that way in my home, and this certainly was not worth the price nor up to the quality I expect from gourmet food. Thank goodness QVC gave me a fair refund. I was especially disappointed as other products I had not tried from this vendor have outstanding ratings, which is the reason I was willing to try this product. If you do decide to buy, keep in mind there is not 2 lbs. of beef in each package, but 2 lbs. total weight in each, and the sauce is heavy!! 04-16-11
Jonathan is right Jonathan my order arrived early yesterday morning so I had to give it a try to see if I liked it as much as you do. I took the meat out of the plastic and put it in a temptations dish in the refrigerator to thaw a little before I cooked it. When I turned it over I saw that one side had visible fat floating in the gravy but that was easy to remove before I put it in the oven to cook. Just before it was done I took the dish out to stir the food and it didn’t appear to be that much food so I cut some of the larger pieces of beef into two or three pieces spreading it around so that I looked like more. I served it with rice as my husband loves rice and we both thought it was VERY good. I am not sure how many people it was meant to feed but my husband really liked it and even though there was only the two of us we had no leftovers. 04-14-11
