This cook book is so easy to use. I am a beginner cook with slow cooker, and this book has great recipes. The Fruity BBQ Chicken was outrageous. I am happy with this book.

This book is nice but not all that. I have slow cooker books & thought this would be a nice addition. It's not a bad book, just wasn't necessary for me.

In order to do a recipe justice; is to use good equipment.
All Clad, Crusinart @ Kitchenaid have multi task slow cookers that let you brown your meat in it before switcing to the slow cooking method. They do an excellent job and the interior pot can be put on table to serve @ put in refrigerator to keep for leftovers.
I use my slowcooker on average..3 times a week.

These recipes are quite ordinary. There are far better recipes on online. I would send it back but I would lose more money for shipping! This is not a book to waste your hard earned money on! I will donate to our local library. Not worth taking up space on my cookbook shelf!

As a mom of two little kids, sometimes dinner is hard to get done after work. This is easy and delicious. The ingredients do not bother me, as I feel that they are included in order to be time saving. Thanks!

As someone who is fairly new to slow cooking, having only done it for about 2-3 years now, I find the recipes in this book to be excellent. I do not find the print to be small at all like another reviewer said, and if someone doesn't want to use the canned/processed tomato paste/sauce, then they can use their own homemade as a substitution. Sure, you can probably find similar recipes on the internet, but I like having them all in one place where I can read them, and make them to suit my family's tastes. For someone starting out with slow cooking, I find this to be a great cookbook to start with.
Also, a couple of the reviews giving this book a bad rating were written before the book was even published and available on the market. I don't see how someone can review a book if they don't even have it.
This is an excellent book and it's worth more than 5 Stars!
Rated 5 out of 5 by ShirleyW Love this cookbook
Received this cookbook and love it. Recipes are simple to make and don't use lot of ingredients I can't find. I've made some of her recipes from her blog and even my picky husband loved them. This is NOT a dump and cook book, but one where you do have to do some preparation before slow cooking. I agree that meat/chicken comes out better if you brown it first and do the same. I don't find the print too small at all, it's very easy for me to read in my dark kitchen. Picky husband has already picked out the ones he wants me to make. As for the reviewer who said it used too many ingredients and she was sending it back - I would like to know how she can review and send back a cookbook that wasn't even released/shipped on date of review.

I split the cost with a friend since quite frankly the book is overpriced. That aside there is nothing really original in here at all. Almost every recipe can be found on the internet for free. I also was not happy with a lot of the processed ingredients used that are not very health. And as others have mentioned not providing nutritonal info is a major negative.
