GIRLS BEST FRIEND!!
I love to bake and consider myself to be pretty good. Anne has taught me how to "doctor" up a basic cake recipe and turn it into a delightful treat. My cakes are more moist than i have ever gotten them before using her book. I have learned how to make homemade cake and cupcake frostings that not only taste incredible but are so much easier to spread and apply than store bought frosting in a jar. Busy moms that would like to feel good about making something homemade, great tasting and pretty are sure to recieve a wonderful value with this book purchase. Anne is right there on your baking journey giving you all the support you will need. Happy Baking!!!!!!

easy and yummy
I made one cake from this cookbook so far and it was womderful. A Better Banana Cake was the one I made and it surprised me being so moist and good. The other recipes look good as well and I will keep trying them.

Perfect Gift
I bought this for a really good friend for her birthday! She loves to bake & is very creative so I knew she would love it! Which she did!!! Can't wait for her to make something from this cake book!!

No From Scratch Taste Here
As a "seasoned from scratch" Baker, I found this book to be extrenely
disappointing....The central ingredients for most of these cakes, all too often,are sour cream, buttersmilk, instant pudding, and oil. There is nothing homemade about the taste here. I thought, perhaps, Anne Bryrn had come up with novel ideas---she has, another book, to provide an income....Actually, not so novel. I donated the book to a local organization, selling used books.

Love these recipes!
Now I consider myself a pretty good baker, and I am comfortable baking from scratch and do so on a regular basis. But I am always looking for new ideas. These are some fabulous recipes. I especially love how Anne gives helpful hints that help me to better understand the process of baking, how to substitute certain ingredients for others, etc. After sampling from this book, I feel much more creative as a baker. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve her skills and feel more confident in the kitchen.

Best Friend to a Baker
I would recommend this book to anyone that bakes or doesn't! Our ladies club had a bake sale for a fundraiser and many of the gals said they couldn't make a cake. I loaned them this book, and ta- da ! They were cake bakers! So easy. And the cakes turn out wonderful as if they are homemade from scratch. You gotta give this a try.

I bought this for my Mom's Bday! She was thrilled with it and it came just in time for her local VFW contest for cakemix recipes! She Won!

Awesome Cake Cookbook!!
I love this cookbook. I purchased it a while back and so far have only made the Almond pound cake. It was altogether YUMMY!!! I too like to bake pound cakes from scratch but the Almond Cake was very moist and delicious and less time consuming. The pictures in the front are an awesome feature so you have an idea of what the finished product should look like.
Looking forward to making additional cakes, etc..... during the upcoming fall and winter "comfort food" months.

Great ideas
I like the creativity of this book. I've purchased other cookbooks to make desserts from mixes, and this one is above and beyond the best. This is great especially if you are looking for bundt recipes too. I REALLY like the picture index in the front of the book. You can look through the "catalog" of pictures of cakes and then find the recipe. That's unique, and it's very useful.
