Good, however
I have two sets of these outdoor dishes and I'll start with the good, they are very pretty and great for chips, sandwiches, hot dogs, basically any kind of finger food. I throw mine in the dishwasher all the time, even on the bottom rack, and I don't have any problems with the plates and bowls. I even will throw mine in the microwave, but only for about 30 seconds and so far no problems with the plates and bowls. (I've had my sets for over a year) These dishes are for upgrading from paper plates and that is really what this product is about, paper plates fly away and are not stable, these are much easier to use, just don't think this is a real fancy set, because it's not. Now the bad, the cups are worthless, they will break or crack within the first month, now this didn't bother me because I was not buying them for the cups, that was just a bonus. You really need to use plastic forks and knives or it will leave cuts in the plate, they are slippery so food sometimes slides off, and yes you shouldn't microwave them for more then say 30 seconds. although they say not to microwave them at all. I think overall its a good product to replace PAPER PLATES not to be your do all dishes, just my opinion. :)

Happy with my dinnerware set !
i purchased two sets, black ow for self and blue ow for my mom. The colors are very pretty. I was worried about the cups, but mine are fine - no leaks or cracks and they arent as flimsy as I thought they might be. I love the bowls - we use these as dinner bowls at our house. Theyre good for our noodle dishes,spaghetti night, etc. The flat plates work well for foods like sandwiches or pizza. I like the size of this set too. However, I do agree with other reviewers who stated that the plates are thin. I believe this melamine could be a bit "thicker" , and also the plates are a bit flat. IMO id like them more if they had just a tiny bit more depth so food wouldnt be as likely to slide off. I also would of liked color all over the outside of the bowls instead of the white bottom half. I hand wash my set because I think after a while the colors will fade. Wish i had found this set when the spice and confetti colors were still available.
I love temp-tations! I have 3 or 4 more temp-tations items on my wish list that im hoping to be able to purchase in the next few weeks. :)

Plates Too Flat/Odd Sizes
Even though I use this set for daily casual meals the larger plate is huge and the salad bowls hold enough food for 2-4 servings. Cups are too short and the surface off all plates are too flat and slick which allows your food to shift as you liad your plate or walk to the table with a loaded plate. Disappointed that it was previously not advertised as non dishwasher safe on bottom rack. Hand washing was a pain.... So I gave up and loaded all items in dishwasher and so far its not hurt the dishes but microwaving isnt recommended either. What is the use then??? We live in a time saving world. These dishes are cute- non functional or sized correctly.

Just what I've been looking for
I've been searching for these for years. My husband is disabled and drops things easily. I wanted some dishes he could use and still looked nice for company. I bought 2 sets different colors to match my kitchen.

Back for second set!
This set is a great compliment to all my temp-tation pieces. Coordinates perfectly with my OW blue stoneware dishes, and they are very durable. Cut steaks on them last weekend, and they exceeded my expectations. I have almost all the melamine Tara offers, and continue to love it! No more paper plates or cups!

The Best !!!
My hubby and I have purchased (6) sets of these...now you see why I say 'the best"! With 7 grandkids these are wonderful, easy for them to handle with less messes. This outdoor dinnerware has become our indoor dinnerware. Light weight and we love them!!! Would love to see Temp-tations make these in a smaller cereal bowl.

Gorgeous & Classy look
Sets an absolutely beautiful table! I bought 2 sets, no actually 4 sets last summer: LILAC Old World & LILAC Polka Dot, as well as went back later and purchased 2 sets of the FLORAL LACE in cranbury. The shapes are adorable and so nice to see "not the same ole same ole". The colors are vibrant and glossy. Received many compliments on it. The sizes I think are really good. Its true that the bowls are huge but I think thats a good thing. For those complaining the bowl is too big for cereal, etc., no one is telling you to fill the whole darn thing. Use common sense only put in the amount you believe you will consume -- like any other bowl, etc. you would use. There's just no pleasing some people no matter what you do. I bet some of you are the same ones that complained the TT bowls were too small, etc.
Great job Tara on this melamine. Please don't stop bringing us items in that material.

Disappointing
Cute design but not worth this amount of money! The bowls are HUGE and not good for cereal unless you dump the whole box in. I can find similar item at Big Lots for alot less money!

Bad Cups
The cups crack and leak. I returned cups twice and two are leaking again, even with hand washing. Like the bowls and plates for informal meals

nice looking, but limited use
Received the original set as a gift. originally used it at home for patio use, but the dishwasher warped the plates and I was not going to handwash dishes after having company, so back they went. I do like this shape and think they'd be great for our RV - no dishwasher option there! The shape is ideal for the limited space we have for storage. However, the fact that they are not microwavable nixes that idea. In an RV, most things must have more than one use or it's wasting valuable space. I would love to improve my boring RV dinnerware - please come out with a microwavable material!

Disappointed
This is the first product I have gotten from the Temptation line that I has disappointed me. I have loved all the products from this line, and I have even allowed myself to overlook the fact that many, if not all, of their products aren't made in the USA. However, this was just of mediocre quality, as all the comments I read prior to purchase suggested. I should have heeded the notion I had not to purchase based on the product reviews, but I did not. Temptations, you make fine quality products. Why you slacked on this one, I don't know.

Cute, but VERY PRICY!
Got these in the Old World Confetti and like them, but just can't justify paying $43.98 (plus tax and shipping) for plastic. Probably will return them, still deciding.
