Recipes
Artichoke Dip

Ingredients:

2 cups coarsely chopped Artichoke Hearts
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 small cloves of garlic finely chopped
Several drops of hot sauce
½ cup crushed potato chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients thoroughly, spread into a 1-qt. dish, top with crushed chips, and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with crackers or a thinly sliced and toasted baguette.

3 Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup shredded jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded Swiss
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup mayonnaise

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and spread into a 1-qt. dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with crackers, celery, and carrot sticks.

Scalloped Potatoes with Pancetta

Ingredients:

4 cups thinly sliced potatoes                         
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 large onion, finely chopped                         
1/2 cup diced pancetta*
4 Tbsp. flour                                                   
2 cups half & half
6 Tbsp. butter                                                 
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Pat the sliced potatoes dry with paper towels and toss with flour and salt & pepper. In a 9” x 12” baker, layer 1/3 of the potatoes, 1/3 cup of cheese, 1/3 of the onions, and 1/3 of the pancetta. Dot with 2 Tbsp. of butter. Repeat for the second layer. For the third and final layer, use the last of the potatoes, onions, and pancetta. Pour the half & half over the potatoes, top with the remaining cheese, then dot with the last 2 Tbsp. of butter. Bake for 45 minutes or until top is browned and potatoes are tender.

*In place of the pancetta, you can use 2 or 3 slices of diced and browned bacon.

Confetti Rice

Ingredients:

1 cup basmati or white rice                           
1-3/4 cups of chicken broth*
1/4 cup white wine*                                        
2 small garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 shallot, finely chopped                                
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup shredded carrot                                
1/4 cup olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

In a 1-qt. dish, microwave oil, shallots, garlic, and celery for 60 seconds on high. Add rice and white wine, stir, and microwave 1 minute more. Stir in chicken broth, carrot, and salt & pepper to taste, then microwave on high for 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes and fluff with a fork.

*If you don’t wish to use wine, increase the broth to 2 cups.

Note: The addition of 1/2 tsp. of turmeric will give the rice a nice yellow color and subtle flavor.

Rustic Chicken & Vegetables

Ingredients:

4 large or 6 small chicken thighs                   
2 large or 4 small sweet potatoes
1 large onion                                                  
2 ribs of celery
2 carrots
1 head of garlic, separated into cloves (leave the skin on)
Several springs of rosemary or 1 Tbsp. dried.
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. sage                                                  
1 Tbsp. parsley
1/4 cup olive oil                                              
1 cup white wine or chicken broth
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

Toss veggies with olive oil, herbs, and seasoning, reserving some for the chicken pieces. Place in a large baker. Add wine or broth. Brush the chicken with melted butter.  Season with salt & pepper and reserved herbs. Arrange chicken on top of the veggies.  Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 45 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and veggies are tender. Ovens vary, so check after 20 minutes or so and reduce heat if it's cooking too fast.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients:

Crust: 
1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs              
1/4 cup sugar
6 Tbsp. melted butter

Filling:
Two 8-oz. packages cream cheese (Full Fat or Neufchatel) at room temperature.
1 cup pumpkin purée
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the crust ingredients thoroughly and press into 9” x 12” baker. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F.

With an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth, scraping down the sides occasionally. Beat in the pumpkin and flour until thoroughly mixed, then beat in eggs one at a time. Lastly, beat in vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Spread filling evenly over the prepared crust. Bake until set and edges are light brown, about 35 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before cutting into bars.

Temp-tations Chunky Turtle Bars

Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. of baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
1 cup of room temperature butter
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of brickle toffee bits
1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 cup caramel sundae topping

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 – 3 minutes.  Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in the flour mixture until combined.  Stir in 1 cup of the chocolate chips and the toffee bits. Spread evenly into a 13” x 9” baking pan. Bake 33 – 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once done, immediately sprinkle on pecans and the remaining cup of chocolate chips. Place over a rack, cover lightly with foil, and let stand until the chips are melted, about 5 minutes. Drizzle caramel sundae topping. Cut into squares and serve. Makes 24.

FANTASTIC - BUT!!!!! These are great, love the versatility of the different sizes, BUT - The plastic lids do not even begin to fit. Might as well toss them out. Fortunately, the plastic lid from another set of temptations of the same size as the 2 qt, fit almost perfectly (in fact it probably fits this 2 qt size better than the one it was made for. But, the other 4 pieces will just have to go topless! Still a great set for the price, just don't plan on using the plastic covers. 04-28-13

Lids I love the bake wear BUT could someone tell me where did these lids come from???? I couldn't get one of them to fit. I started to think they sent me the wrong ones!!! I have to use aluminum foil to cover for storage. Really disappointed................. :( 04-01-13
Darn Lids I got my first set of Temp-tations for Christmas and fell in love with them then. My first bad experience was with the lids on the bowls........THEY DON'T FIT ! I guess for the cost of these bowls and pieces and the QVC name selling them something should be done about selling the product with a faulty mechanism...........not saying I don't like my Temp-tation ware , just don't like when something only works part way ! It's like paying to go to a movie and only watching the previews. I would recommend this product but please try to fix the problem QVC ! 04-01-13

Unfortunate About the Lids This was my first Temptations purchase and I was diasppointed for a couple reasons. The lids seem like they don't even go with these bakers. The color difference between the bakeware and the trivets is substantial probably due to different materials. I don't understand why the trivet is even needed. I will give Temptations another try, but .... hoping this was an isolated incident. 03-14-13
Pretty dishes but WORTHLESS lids I purchased this set from QVC, and at the same time I ordered a different set direct from the Temp-tations website. Both sets arrived on the same day. The set from the Temp-tations website is perfect. The lids securely close. The QVC set is pretty but the lids do not fit at all. They are larger than the dishes and just "float" on top of them. They are not air-tight and will not keep your food fresh. You may as well just place a plate on top of the dish to cover it! 02-08-13
the best everyday set Cant believe there are still any left of this set. I bought one for me and my mom and a third was bought by my sister. I have the lilac and wish they offered more sets in that color. My mom and sister have the cream. In fact, my mom used hers during Thanksgiving and each piece was used. It was so perfect and the table looked beautiful. My sister saw the display and decided she wanted one too. I use it almost everyday for just about everything. If you are looking to try temptations I'm telling you this is a great set to try. You will fall in love. 02-03-13
Cracked After 2 Yrs Of Use I was thrilled when I got the set for Christmas a few years back. I used the big baker for everything from cooking chicken breasts, lasagna and brownies. I used in an oven between 350 to 425 degrees - never close to the 500 recommended. After multiple uses all of the pieces began to start to show gray cracking lines under the glaze. One by one the cracking kept getting worse until one day when I was making chicken in a sauce it cracked through and leaked in the oven. The product is pretty but does not holdup to the test of time like other baking products I've used from other manufacturers. Do not recommend. Not a good gift. 02-03-13
Love the dishes - hate the lids I purchased this set as a gift for my sister as I have many sets myself. I was very disappointed to hear that the white lids did not fit the baking dishes. The lids are too small and cannot be used at all. How embarrassing! I called QVC and they told me many people are experiencing the same problem. I certainly hope Temptations corrects the problem and sends out new lids! 01-24-13
