K27261 - Technique Silicone Set of 2 24-cup Mini Muffin Pans 4 5 27 27
Great Pans I am very familiar with silicone because I used them in culinary school I am pleased to have them available to the general public. I am using them to make ice and they will certainly find their way in the oven. I bake on silpats and I truly like them. Thank you technique for making this available to all. It is a delight to own them. I like the fact that you can fold and store them. 04-05-12
Excellent For Parents of Small children I purchase these to make mini muffins and brownie bites for my 4 and 5 yr old boys. I didn't want to write a review until I had used them a few times and I love them. I have so far made perfect brownie bites, blueberry cheesecake muffins, chocolate chip muffins and cornbread muffins. They all turned out beautifully and clean-up was a breeze. I usually just dunk them in a sink full of hot soapy water and then rub them gently with a sponge. I would definitely recommend these for anyone with small children as they are a more appropriate serving size and easy for little hands and mouths to manage on their own. ***I do have to make mention that there is a bit of a learning curve with these. The first batch that I made with them didn't come out, it stuck. But I read in a previous review that this might happen with the very first batch and should work fine after that. Sure enough every batch after that has turned out beautifully, it is only the first batch that tends to stick. Not sure why it happens but I am so happy with these I don't really care. 02-18-12
Not Happy My first batch of brownies stuck to the pan. Only one came out without any effort. 02-12-12
Wonderful, Wonderful This Muffin Pans is wonderful. After reading the reviews, I spray my pans with Pam. Also, after mixing my muffin mix up in a bowl, I poured the batter in a 2 cup measuring cup and then pour the batter into the muffin pan. I baked the muffins at 350 for 30 minutes and the muffins came out wonderful. Each muffin pan held 2 cups of batter and I had no problem filling the pan. I am so happy I purchased two set of these muffin pans. Both pans fit easy side by side in my oven (electric). Cant wait until I bake 96 mini cupcakes for church. This is a keeper. 01-09-12
***USER'S GUIDE*** I highly recommend these pans -- IF you use them the right way... Probably some foods will fall out of these pans -- but a lot will get stuck. To play it safe, use some type of spray/butter. Personally I recommend "Bake-klene all purpose spray" - they sell it in Williams-Sonoma, but you can find it cheaper if you search the Internet. With just a quick spray my mini-chocolate chip muffins fall out of these pans with only a small shake (and often, they don't even need that). Using a spray might be a bummer for some buyers -- but I look at it this way: If I was using a metal pan I could slather a non-stick spray on my pan & my food would still get stuck. Besides that -- unlike my old pans -- these will never rust. Also -- if you're like me & need to make multiple batches (ie: for class parties & team snacks) as soon as one batch is out -- I can run cold water over these pans (they are instantly cool & won’t warp), wipe them off with a paper towel & I'm ready to go with the next batch. I used to make mini muffins in a traditional metal "non-stick" pan using paper muffin cups -- and when the kids would unwrap their muffins - which is a pain in the neck to do on something so small -- most of the muffin would stick to the paper!! Plus, any muffins that puffed up & touched the metal of the muffin tin would stick like glue. Using these pans is so much easier for everyone involved. 05-06-11
Very Disappointed Could hardly wait to get these pans. Have tried to bake in them a couple times with no luck. Today I made a muffin recipe and they stuck so badly I thru the muffins and the pans in the trash. Disappointed they didn't work out for me had so many ideas for their use. 04-22-11
I don't understand the negative reviews... I ordered 2 more sets today, My daughters love them and they are the best ever for mini baked goods and appetizers. I lower the baking temperature and time to adjust for the smaller size. When I have baked something with lots of sticky or gooey ingredients, I cool the pans in the freezer or frig before removing and never have a problem. After removing cooled brownie bites form the pans, I dip the tops into melted chocolate chips and they look like they came from an expensive bakery. I also like the fact that they take up so little storage space and are not expensive to purchage. This summer I will use them for jello shooters and flavored ice cubes for parties. The uses are only limited by your imagination! 02-06-11
great idea, but disappointed... I saw these and fell in love with the size and style. I am a professional pastry shef and use silicone bakeware and molds in my pastry kitchen all the time. I figured these would be great for making little treats at home with my daughter. Everything I made stuck and did not pop out like other silicone products I have used. I made brownies, red velvet cake and cheesecakes and they all stuck. I wish I loved them because I love the square shape, not the typical round pan. Back they go :( 01-27-11
Great Product Used my muffin pans for the first time making a new recipe for cookies. They performed just like demonstrated by Meredith. No cooking spray required, I let them cool as the instructions say to do and so I look forward to trying something else using this great item. 01-13-11
Works great for candy making ! I purchased these to make caramels in. Because of the high fat content in the caramels, I didn't spray the pans with oil. Just poured the liquid in, let it cool (quickly) and popped them out with no problem. (in case you are wondering, I then cut each one into thirds to get the right size : ) They roll up well and store in a small space. Not "flimsy". 01-02-11
Second time's a charm The first time I used these pans they stuck a little (maybe it's a 'seasoning' thing). Also, I did find it very time-consuming to fill them because they are small and there are a lot of them. HOWEVER, after the first time there is no sticking (yes, I still have to let them completely cool before removing my brownies or muffins) . Also, I put my brownie batter in a ziplock bag, snipped off a corner and squeezed the batter into the wells--worked quickly and easily. I love silicone. I use store-bought brownie mixes and the ones baked in the silcone are so much better tasting than the ones made in the metal bakeware. 12-31-10
went back for a 2nd set These are great and easy to use. Makes baking a breeze..no more greasing the pan. Very convenient, makes alot of individual pieces so that everyone can have a few pieces. Love them. 12-26-10
