FANTASTIC SMOKER!!!! fantastic hard working smoker!. Worked great on stovetop and BBQ. Cleanup was a breeze. A little soaking and everything cleaned off with eazee. taste was great. Why anyone would complain about this product just doesnt understand real smokers. Also have Nordic kettle smoker. Works well but pales in performance with this unit. Truly is an iron workhorse. Well worth the price. I would pay double for the quality of this unit. Thank you QVC. 07-03-11
Great little smoker and grill pan! I just bought this for my husband for Father's Day and he loves it! We've already used it several times to smoke salmon and chicken breasts on our gas grill. It works great! Can's wait to smoke ribs too. The drip pan works great and catches the juices and cleans so easy. The grill pan can be used just for grilling too. I would recommend this to anyone which I already did to my BFF! You can't go wrong with this and the FREE S/H either! 06-27-11
Disappointed! I'm sorry to say that we are not happy with the performance of this pan. It's not easy to clean despite numerous "seasonings" - worse - it rusts! I couldn't believe it! No matter how hard I try to clean it, the "rusty" smell remains. Very disappointed! 06-26-11
FUN! I don't get to use my grill much, so I decided to try this at the steal price and free S&H. I used it on my stove top to smoke some pork country ribs. Soak your wood chips really well! Between the instructions with this cooker and the instructions on the wood chips package, I was able to create some yummy, smoky meat. With more experience, I will smoke veggies, fish, etc. Cast iron in itself, is a learning experience. I was doubtful about loose chips and flowing juices. But the drip tray caught all the juices, (emptied it once during cooking and can use those juices with the rest, later for gravy, stock, etc). I am looking forward to experimenting with other wood chips. Yes it's heavy, hard to store, whatever. The taste that it imparts to food is worth it. And it's cheaper to keep it then send it back. I like this for the smoky flavor it imparts from my stove top without going to my outside grill. Medium heat on my electric stove was too high, so I reduced it to between low and medium. Again, soak your wood chips more than 30 minutes. I like it. 06-22-11
Happy I made purchase Yes it's heavy. Yes it's cast iron, but for the price and free shipping it can't be beat. I have used it a few times, and am happy with the performance. I used it just yesterday to smoke paprika, and oh it was perfect. I'm looking forward to smoked salmon, and other goodies to come. I give it two thumbs up. 06-17-11
Learning curve Of course, cast iron is heavy!!!!!! Takes time to learn how much wood chips to use. I wrap the wood chips (about 4 or 5) in foil....not the stainless pan that is sent with the product. Takes time to learn how to use it. You really get great pieces. I have NO problem with rusting, because with ALL Cast iron....you must clean and dry immediately!! I am also enjoying the bottom pan as a extra cast iron skillet to use without the rest of the stuff!! . I think this is well worth the price! Good purchase!! I wish I would have gotten it for the price it is offered for now!!! Keep in mind...IT IS CAST IRON.....it will last forever, if you treat it properly!!!! But, since it is on clearance price, it will no longer be offered once it sells out!! 06-09-11
Great Purchase This is a great cast iron pan and smoker for all types of meat (although I have not tried fish). I bought it last year and used it to cook pork tenderloin on the grill - which is our family favorite. It is also great for tri tip. I use the bottom for cooking corn bread in the oven. As a reminder to all that were disappointed - it is cast iron, so as other reviewers stated, treat it as your would your grandmother's cast iron. Food tastes phenomenal when cooked in this pan on the grill - you can do a roast in the summer without heating up your whole house! 06-08-11

Skip this one This is a heavy, hard to clean mess. I seasoned, seasoned, seasoned and it is so roughly surfaced that sticking still occurs. Don't buy this at any price. 05-30-11
great smoker This pan is giving us the best smoked tasting food from the bbq. But it is CAST IRON -- its heavy, it needs to be cared for like grandma used to do -- it acts like real cast iron. Do not buy if you do not want to work with real cast iron. 05-30-11

A POSSIBLY Good Purchase?!?!?! I am on the fence with this one right now. I would like to think that I haven't given it enough time to prove itself but am rather reserved about it right now. I am not excited about the rusting principal even tho' I dry it on my gas stove by heating it well to burn off the water. Am going to make the effort to get used to it even if I use it on the outside grill only. I love cooking sliced potatoes in it while grilling my meat. All the mess is outside in one place. 05-23-11
