Technique Hard Anodized Dishwasher Safe 8-pc. Cookware Set
Excellent For Me, Purchased June 2009
Have had these Technique hard anodized pans for 5 years. Never have used metal in them, only silicone utensils. Bought the utensils the same day to avoid scratches to pans. Never used dishwasher for them.
These pot are still nonstick, all are scratch free, chip free. With the exception of the small skillet. The small skillet is my husbands egg pan. He uses plastic forks in it. It has minor surface scratches, but is still non stick. These are used everyday for a family of 4. My sister has the same set and hers are not in as good of shape as mine. She uses the dishwasher for hers. You can definitely tell the difference on coating.
Can highly recommend these pots for purchase. If you are willing to treat right they will last you much longer than any other set.
joy of cooking
I am so happy I didn't listen to the reviews on these pans, they are wonderful. Some reviews were negative and alot of time I listen to them, my experience with the pans are all positive I have had over a year not scratched up I actually put in dishwasher and they don't turn color, I am looking for a larger set like this, I really don't use the utensils though. I use them everyday.
Non-stick did not last
I really liked these pans at first, but they lost their non-stick properties a long time ago. Also, I have tried EVERYTHING and cannot get the outside of these pans looking good.
These pans are incredible. I have had mine for a few years, but the other day I emptied a can of corn into the small pan and left it on the stove. I forgot about it. I came back to find the liquid boiled away and the corn burned to the bottom of the pan. After some gentle persuasion the pan came clean. Any other pan I would have had to toss or would have had permanent black marks.
I was so looking forward to this set, such nice looking and just the right size. Unpacked them and put big box in the trash, started to stacked up pots and pans to put them away. Immediately I noticed all the exterior finish started to have scratches just from being stacked. Very poor finish, I am sorry to send them back.
I bought a similar set that came with a small frying pan instead of the utensils. I have enjoyed all the pieces except the large frying pan. Despite only using plastic utensils made to use with Teflon type cookware and only hand washing, the finish on the frying pan has greatly eroded. I never dared put them in the dishwasher, and wouldn't dream of using metal utensils with these.
Avid Cook and love this cookware!
I bought a larger set over 5 years ago and it still looks great! I do have other pans for deep frying and high temperature cooking from stovetop to oven. You must use common sense to preserve your pots and pans! If I rinse right away with water, cleaning is minimal...truly non-stick. I've won several cooking contests...so my pots and pans have to perform well! Technique is great!
I love techniques, well the pieces I have, had my chicken frying pan forever, just now thinking of replacing and other pieces still like new..they have weight as well as thickness in of the pans..my son asked for Christmas a good set of pans, since all he own were cheap and replaced and replaced..he loves to cook, purchase these as part of his gift and they are nothing like I have or had..light weight and not thick..he loves them, then again he had cheap like dollar store..so this is a step up..where are the heavy duty Tech. hard Anodized? Gave 3 stars for my reviews, his would be higher..I wish you also had an iffy button to recommend
I had a Cook's Essentials set for 5 years before I finally took the company up on the lifetime guarantee and returned it because of the scratched surfaces. I replaced that set with a Technique set and was disappointed to experience the same scratching on the surface of this set. Two years later I am ready for another replacement!!
One of a few products that I wish I had the nerve to return. I only have the sauce pan and the stock pot left since we tossed out the other pieces. I also have tried the cook essentials set but also ran into the chipping and the staining problem.
Disappointed - 2 Times Over
I originally purchased this set with the hope of not using any cooking oil as they demo on TV. The skillets began to stick very badly so I did ask for replacement under warranty, which was done. I just cooked eggs this morning on the brand new skillet after taking it out of the box and washing it. In its very first use it had egg stuck all over it and would not release even remotely close to how they demo on TV. I wish I could post a picture.
Disappointed. Will not purchase Technique cookware again. QVC usually does better than this... I'm not also worried to purchase Cooks Essentials as they are the same company.
I have this set of cookware, mine also scratched on the bottom as another person stated, if she had kept using it in a little while the scratches are not even noticeable. I love mine and would recommend it to anyone.
