Love It I'm surprised people are having so much trouble cleaning it - - maybe they are using too high of heat? I have found this pan to be easy to clean as well as beautiful and functional. My husband actually looks forward to when I cook his fish in it each week - - he swears it tastes better! 08-05-09
Beautiful I purchased this pan in the orange to add a bright spot in my kitchen. Love it! The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because it is a little difficult to clean, but would still highly recommend it. Excellent grill results.:-) 07-21-09
Love this pan! This is an awesome pan. However I did find it a little hard to get it clean but I have other cast iron pans with the same problem. Food comes out wonderful and the pour spout makes it really easy. 07-17-09
Old Faithful!! I always ck. reviews before I make a purchase and even after reading the reviews for this product I did not hesitate to purchase. I have one cast iron skillet close to 70 years old and now this one and have purchased additional since, and the MORE you use it the BETTER it becomes! Seasoning it will speed up the process, or if you do get food stuck to pan add alittle water, reheat and it comes out easily. It is a grill pan so of course there is the clean up due to the groves for grilling, but it is worth it! 07-03-09
Worst pan ever! I was excited to get this pan & after using it I wanted to throw this pan out the window! I soaked this pan & scrubbed the heck out of it to no avail. Even a brillo pad didn't work! No offense if this pan was at a clearance price it still wouldn't be worth it! Back it went. 06-29-09
Consider it a "SPECIAL" piece of cookware My parents had three cast iron pots, and I was in charge of "seasoning" them, I'm sorry QVC but regardless of the treatments and what-not I believe that EVERY cast iron pot should be seasoned...and to prove that I did not season my pot prior to cooking in it, I sprayed it with non-stick and made burgers with cheddar cheese slices...I poured HOT water into the pot and YES I STILL HAD TO SCRUB IT, but I knew that before I cooked in it, b/c I didn't season it, the spray helped and I'll admit I was expecting more "stickage" So in conclusion, for the price AWESOME pot, it's modern b/c of the red color, my parents were all black, and the grill groves/pour spouts are a plus, it is very heavy (which I like) and I consider it a GREAT value, HOWEVER, my advice to those considering SEASON YOUR CAST IRON and be ready to take extra special care in cleaning them....it's CAST IRON, the name even sounds scary LOL, but it cooked my burgers VERY WELL and I will use it often. Won't buy another until this one breaks, one CAST IRON pot is all I need in my life! :) Thanx QVC 06-28-09
Nice Size I have many Technique items that I LOVE, I must say that while this is a nice looking pan, it is not my favorite. The interior has a rough feel to it, not smooth at all like other Technique enamel. When I tried to oil it with an oiled paper towel, it left traces of paper all over the pan. It's more like a pre-seasoned cast iron and not enamel like at all. It does cook well as all cast iron does. In the future I will avoid the "matte" enamel finishes. 06-24-09
Doubt about Purchasing Technique Again This was extremely hard to clean. I poured water into immediately after cooking and put it into soak. My husband will have to scrub it since I have problems with my hands. I have doubts about this line of products. I may purchase a different type of technique in the future, but for the meantime I will stick with Cook's Essentials. 06-23-09
Wonderful pan can't wait for more Technique This pan was wonderful...I was worried about the horrible reviews about the clean up, but after cooking on it I deglazed the pan and wiped it off and it was that easy!!!!!!!!!! 06-21-09
Here's how to clean this pan...... I use to sell Le Cre---t cookware, so I understand how to clean this pan. First, oil it before cooking, heat the pan to MEDIUM heat or lower (yes, it will take longer to heat up), cook your food. Remove the food and pour in hot water while it's still on the burner, and use silicone spatula or silicone tongs to rub in between the grooves to remove bits. Pour out water, rinse & dry thoroughly, oil and put away. I've never had trouble with this pan. Nearly the same qualitiy of Le Creu--t, and 1/5 the price!! I love this pan! 06-07-09
too bad The pan looks beautiful, but even with spraying with cooking spray, this pan did not come clean. I'm sorry I ordered it. 06-02-09
Horrible to clean!! This thing is not at all easy to clean. I finally bought a grill scrub brush and had to scrub and scrub. I will probably never use this pan again because of that. That's too bad, because I'm single and this does grill steaks and things beautifully, so I don't have to have a grill. 04-30-09
