Table Mate XL Adjustable Solid Color Multi-Purpose Folding Table
Too hard to adjust and store
It look so simple to adjust during the demo but the pins are too hard to push. I thought I could fold down and store under sofa but the pins were too challenging I couldn't figure it out. Frustrating. Returning.
Good, But Not Great due to Stability
Glad I got this, but a bit disappointed in stability. Design should be updated to include some way to stop legs from wobbling. Will keep, but no longer putting a drink on it; certainly don't let your kids have a drink on it or expect sloshing and maybe tip overs. If you can live with some wobble, you'll enjoy the attributes of this table. TIP: turn table upside down to adjust the legs higher or lower - much easier!
Perfect table that goes anywhere!
I work from home & I also am taking online college courses, so I am at my computer a lot. I have an office area set up, but sometimes I'd rather sit in my big chair in my room or in front of the TV in the living room. This table allows me to move around anywhere I want to work or study. I love it. I have a large laptop and it fits with plenty of space along with my mouse, phone, TV remote and a Dr. Pepper! :) I can take it on trips with me as well since it folds up and you can really use it anywhere. Love it! <3
this replaced a wooden TV tray. the XL tray is so much larger, i can do book keeping, its large enough for two people to play cards, manicures, needlepoint, gift wrapping you name it you can use this table. pretty stable, does shake a little (if it came with a brace to connect the bottom of the legs together it would be more stable) but i wont be doing brain surgery on it any way!! the one thing that made me a little nervous about buying it is the limited colors. i wont say they are unappealing but they are not my colors, that is easy to get over.
The pins are impossible to push in to change height or swivel the legs.
These tables are terrific. I ordered two. They are well made and snapped together without using tools. My grandkids come over and use them to do homework, I use them for snacks while watching QVC...LOL.
I would highly recommend!
So handy to have. Homework table, snack table, tablecloth over it and it made a great hostility table. Will probably get another one.
Worst Ever Purchase
This tray looks like it would be perfect for many uses -however when I received it -it was extremely difficut to attach the legs. A lot of strenght is needed -and not able to fold for storage. I have shopped with QVC for many years and this is the worst product I ever purchased!
Like it but have reservations
I find the table useful and I actually like it but I do not appreciate how difficult it is to fold the legs in to make it portable or to store. The little pegs that you have to push to accomplish that are tight and difficult to work with! Ridiculous. I'm keeping it because of how handy it is but I truly resent how the little problem I've mentioned makes it less than excellent.
Very easy to put together. Sturdy for what it is. It replaced similar table that I gave to a friend when I moved and have sorely missed. Is it as stable as a regular table? Of course not but it is very handy and versatile in height, angle when used properly. Also I can store it under the sofa. Only disappointment is that it doesn't fit over my narrow European style recliner when footrest is up which was a surprise. However am happy I bought it and use it regularly.
Too hard to adjust the legs
I had to return mine because the buttons to adjust the legs were way too tight and I even put WD 40 oil on them and they still were to tight to move up and down...I have the same table mate tray in the smaller size, three of them, and some adjust easier then others, but this one was really bad, so just be aware that some are defective !!!!!!!!
Good Investment So Far
I got this table to replace my little laptop table with legs that wouldn't slide under my couch to bring the table close to me because the wheels were above the floor clearance of the couch. This Tablemate XL still doesn't slide under completely, but is still way closer to my body because of the way it's made. It is sturdy & very roomy for my 17in laptop, mouse & mouse pad & coffee too! The only complaint I have is that the pins to adjust the legs were impossible to squeeze with bare hands. I had to use adjustable pliers to clamp down on them so I could adjust the height of the legs. This left scratch marks on the legs. I didn't wanna use dw-40 in fear that it will make the pins slip too easily & make the table unstable. So I'll just leave it as is for now & will NOT be adjusting or folding it up & down like they did in the presentation.
