Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not bad, but you get exactly what you pay for... The TL-WA850RE (v2) came bundled with a popular video doorbell. But, we have a multi-level condo, with another unit below us, and our landing level (front door bell location) is actually a level below them (so, several levels down--at least 60-80 feet away from main WiFi router). So, it was a real nightmare trying to get a consistent WiFi signal to the video doorbell (on a budget). Initially, I tried the single RE (in various locations), but the WiFi signal was just too weak. So, I ordered a second RE of the exact same model, and piggy-packed the connections between the two REs to get a decent WiFi signal (they're single-purpose, so I just used different Access Point names). When I "finally' got everything working (which took some time), I noticed that after maybe 5-10 days or so, the "immediate" doorbell notifications to my phone got more and more delayed (up to 15-20 minutes), and the video playback also got more and more choppy, so I eventually started unplugging/replugging both REs often to reset them. When I do this, everything gets back to normal ("immediate" notifications again). But, this is a real pain, and if we're both out-of-town at the same time for more than a week, the video doorbell becomes useless. I may eventually just upgrade these 2.4Ghz REs to 5Ghz REs (I'm REALLY hoping the issues are just related to 2.4Ghz bandwidth issues). I like the TP-LINK products, relatively easy to set-up once you understand how to configure them, it's been about a year and they're actually still working (yay!), and this RE model is very inexpensive (for testing purposes anyways, which I do a lot of, or when connectivity matters more than speed). But, I simply would NOT recommend 2.4Ghz for ANY higher-bandwidth applications (like video or gaming), or when speed matters most (I consistently get 2-5 times 2.4Ghz band WiFi speeds with the 5Ghz band from my laptop to my main router).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I plan on buying hundreds more in the future. I own a wireless ISP, and in our search for the perfect wireless router to install in our customers homes. We used to use another major brand of router. It had an average life span of about 4 months. We can install these TP Link routers and know that 9.9/10 they will give us at least a good year. I have been through hundreds of these routers and still see no abnormal failures, i.e. not struck by lightning or something got spilled on them. I can whole heartily say that these are reliable routers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY I spent hours trying to set it up. I would love to return but my time for returning has expired. It is either defective or I am too stupid to set it up. I wish I knew which one it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The solution I have been searching for I have the worst wifi in my office however after setting this up (which was incredibly easy) I now have a great connection and due to my poor reception and setting wifi calling up on my iphone it's also enabled me to get quote from someone I tested on "crystal clear quality that sounds like I'm on a landline" Would highly recommend especially as the price is so reasonable! (note that it shows as your main router no need to connect to it separately and if you can't see it working walk to your deadzone if it's no longer dead it's working..)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nope I purchased this product when I moved my PC out of the bedroom and into a spare room. As the WiFi would not reach. It was a pain to setup, but worked well once it was finally done. I've had the product about a year and it has now totally failed to connect to my current router no matter which setup option I try. Every other devise in my household can connect with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly! I never have any connection issues and my internet is super fast! Speed as though I'm connected right next to my router. I love it!
