Rated 2 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for Worked fine for first 10 months and then started on its last breath. Restarting several times a day to restore cable is a major pain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compact design I was given this modem for free to review and I have reviewed several cable modems for TP-Link. But, what sets me apart from other reviewers of cable modems is that I used to be the Director of Product Management for Cable Modems for a company in Silicon Valley, thus I know cable modems. Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed is the size. This modem is tiny, it is impressively compact. So right of the bat, if you are looking for a clean design for a small space, this is the modem for you, the TP-Link TC-7610 is a very good modem. It does not have integrated WiFi, but most of us already have routers. But the size does not reflect the power or the words I should really use is Upstream and Downstream speeds. The TC-7610 will be faster than your old modem, it lists speeds of 343Mbps downstream and 143Mbps for upstream. When I do a SpeedTest on my home network, for those of you who know what that is, I'm consistently getting faster download and upload speeds than my old modem and better than what my Internet Provider is limiting me to. More importantly, it was easy to install and the Xfinity activation for me was without problem. I will admit that having done this before, I know how it is done, but if you just follow the directions, the setup is straightforward. What is also important to me, is that as noted, I'm a family man, I have anywhere from 15 to 25 devices hooked simultaneously into our home network, and I don't see any issue with connectivity or speed! And remember, by owning your cable modem, you don't have to pay the monthly rental cost to your internet provider!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked fine for about a month I bought this MODEM on July 14 2017, it worked well for about a month and then it started dropping connections. It is dropping more frequently now, sometimes several times a day. I tried to login to the user interface to check levels etc but the username/password I set up when I received the MODEM wouldn't work. I tried the default username/password but that didn't work either. I tried to reset the MODEM to factory default several times but the default username/password still doesn't work. I will have to replace with a different MODEM

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best extender This is the best extender I have used. The speeds are so fast, extended, that you can't tell an extender is in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I have xbox, tablet, wireless HD, cellphone and wireless label maker on it. everything works great. Only minor issue is when doing wireless backups of the tablet, seem to slow down a bit but still worth the value

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems whatsoever...going on two years I work on business end routers and switches for a living and I use this for my own home for a SOHO network. I don't know why people give it a bad review. It's probably something else wrong in your network that causing an issue...don't start blaming it on the modem.
