Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product Horrible router. Its drops the signal constantly. Can't even support Skype calls because the signal keeps dropping. Wishing I had bought a linksys instead which is what I'm forced to do now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A much appreciated upgrade. I'm thinking that there is a "user" problem with the other reviews on this site because, I have set up many routers from many manufacturers and this was one of the easiest! I think that the people who are having reliability issues are using cheap Ethernet cables and are experiencing LTE or some other RF interference that is causing the router to "scramble" and require rebooting. I am using only CAT 6 cable and I'm having absolutely no problems with this router. I highly recommend it for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product! I have used many different products from different manufacturers over the years. Netgear, dLink, Linksys, and tp-link to name a few. This is the worst one I have ever used. I am on my second one of these. The 5g Wifi went down almost every day after setting up the first one. I worked with support for weeks, redoing all the steps I had already tried. They finally sent me a new device. Same problems. Don't bother buying one of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Router! After a few weeks of testing so far its been a great router! The Firmware is great and customizable, QoS works perfectly during gaming while uploading/downloading and no lag what so ever. WiFi is stable and works reliably able to pull 100/12 over WiFi which is what I pay for. I did find that WiFi range was better on this one slightly than it was on the C7 for whatever reason. I do prefer this C5 over the C7 in that category. My one dislike about this router is there's no lan led lights on the front but that is a minor issue. Submitted as part of a free sample program

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Archer C5 is decent value The Archer C5 is a good bargain. It is a great value given its speed and features. Sure, you could get a faster router with more features but it would cost much more. I found this router easy to setup. Additionally, it's wireless range and internet speed was on par with other routers twice it's cost. It has the standard features found in most routers which should meet the needs of all but the most advanced users. In my month of usage, it has proven to be stable and offer good reception and speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent router The TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (Archer C5) performed fantastic out of the box. Clear instructions were available on a sheet in the box. This supports 802.11ac and has 1.2Gbps of total available bandwidth. This simultaneous dual band networks, 2.4GHz (300Mbps) and 5GHz (867Mbps) and has two external dual band antennas for faster, more reliable wireless performance at greater distances. Also provides full gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000Mbps). Great reception throughut the house. Submitted as part of free sample program.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly how it should, does the trick at a great price TP-Link Archer C5 - AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router. Worked right out of the box for the needs of our small family. The features for this router are great having parental controls that really work well in this range of routers is great. Setting it up with the tether app is a real snap and was very intuitive. I set it up with ease in about 15 min, I have set up a few others and cannot stress the fact that setting this Archer 2300 up is very simple and intuitive using the app. After I set this up it was time to test. We have multiple users and they all wanted to setup the Wifi calling on the phones they had. We set them all up in this very small office. We have many users that will be using this wifi on a daily bases and have had no issues as of yet, and don't expect any either. Simple usb ports on back work well for us and our external usb storage drive for all users. This router has a nice place for homes or small offices like the one we installed it in. The feature richness of this router makes it a joy to install and setup for any user. submitted as part of a free sample program

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and Effective! The setup of this Wi-Fi router was a breeze. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for people that are not so technically savvy. While testing this device, I did not have a single drop or need of a reboot. I also enabled the "System Log" and haven't seen any log entries with a level higher than "Notice". For your reference, the different log level entries are Debug > Information > Notice > Warning > Error > Critical > Alert > Emergency. I also like that the unit runs cool. It's not uncommon for these types of devices to run really hot. Considering this is a basic Wi-Fi router, you also have advanced features on the Web Interface. You can create parental controls, VPNs, bandwidth limiters, MAC Address Filter, to name a few. You can also quickly and easily create a "Guest Network". Here, you can limit guests from seeing each other, from accessing your network and from accessing the USB Storage Sharing options. You can also choose to have a separate Wi-Fi name (SSID) for your guests, and choose whether to have a password or not. A big advantage of this router over similar priced routers is that the Ethernet ports on this are 1000Mbps (1Gbps). This is also the main difference between this C5 model, and the C50 model. You also get two USB ports, perfect for media sharing or to act as a print server. These both work very well. Note however, the USB ports on this router are USB 2.0. The C5 provides adequate Wi-Fi range for small to medium size homes. I would say it's also great for people living in Apartments. Overall, this is a worthy contender to the higher priced competitors, and works very well. Submitted as part of a free sample program.
