T.I.P.S Set of 2 Contour Nail Files
Difficult to use
Too many instructions, use this side for this and that side for that... Blah blah blah, I'm way to busy to get out the instruction booklet every time I need to file a nail. Back these go. A waste of money and time.
Great nail files
My nails are usually in terrible condition. They break, they won't grow and my cuticles are just as bad. I have been using these nail files off-and-on for several years. When I remember to use them, my nails are nicely shaped and actually start to grow. I just have to remember to take care of my cuticles!
These work great.
They may look different but they work well. Not too rough or hard to use.
Likeked at first but they quickly lost theit finish, making them useless.
Wouldn't be without this file
I have been using this file for years. I have very fragile, soft, peeling and brittle nails. I have tried just about every nail file on the market and end up with ragged edges no matter how carefully I trim and file. Once I started using the TIPS contour files I definitely saw a difference. The rounded tips fit perfectly under my nail tips and removes the ragged leftovers from filing. I especially like having the ability to run the large end over the top of my nail and take off roughness without thinning my nail tips.
The contour shape makes it easy to hold and file rather then trying to hold a long file. I have severe arthritis and the file fits over my index finger making it so easy to file and shape my nails along the side of the file.
I would only like the files to last longer. I use them until there isn't an area left to file anymore and then order another set.
I recommend these to everyone!!!!!
I take lots of medication and it really impacts my nails. When I can't take proper care of them they break and scratch me in my sleep. Even if all I can do is trim them I use these to shape them and smooth the tips. I plan to buy a second set of 2 sometime in the future so I can have them everywhere I need them.
One thing I think needs to be emphasized. These are for shaping and smoothing not filing down length, and what they do they do better than anything else I have tried and I have tried everything. I can't afford the TIPS all the time but these last.
Don't get rid of these - LOVE THEM!
This is great for finishing up your nails prior to applying nail polish. Helps prevent chips and made my nails healthier. I hope QVC doesn't stop selling these, and I'm sure an on-air presentation would make these a 'customer top rated' product. Love, love, love!
No wonder they were out of stock for a while, these are great. I have really brittle nails, they peel and shred and tear all the time, I can not keep long nails. I have used these for a few weeks and have had only 1 minor nail tear. These are keeping my nails strong and long! Not to mention the shine!
I've purchased a T.I.P.S. set in the past and love these files. I'm giving one to my sister. The ceramic files and these files will be the best files you've ever purchased.
Nails smooth as glass
I have been using TIPS for about seven years now. This nail file is critical to keeping nails from breaking and splitting (my problem: that is, BEFORE I found TIPS.) I use a ceramic nail file to do any major shaping. But this file is for once the nail is in the desired shape. It is extremely fine, and leaves the nail perfectly smooth: like glass, as I said above. It leaves no chance for the nail to "catch" on anything, or allow detergents and harsh chemicals to get in the nail. I am a professional piano payer, so I keep one by my chair, one by my bed, and I carry one in my gig bag and one in my purse! That way I'm never without.
And let me recommend the TIPS nail conditioner and the TIPS polish remover as part of your routine. This stuff is miraculous. I never thought I could grow nails, but with this system as my routine, I actually have to CUT my nails!
Best File Ever
This is the ONLY file I will use. I know it is marked as a finishing file but I do shape my nails with it, after clipping. I wish they offered it as a package with other products for giving as a gift. The shape seemed weird at first but I caught on quickly and LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
T.I.P.S. files are a good Finishing tool. It takes a few file times to get the hang of how best to use them. Still after a month of use, I use a flat file then contour file for better finish.
Not completely using just contour file yet.
