J155962 - Susan Graver Triple Strand Beaded Necklace & Earring Set
Do You Have A Good Dry Cleaner?
When I first received this necklace (in the coral) I was thrilled with the look and feel. However, after wearing it with a white button down shirt to work I came home to find both my neck and my white shirt stained red! And when I say my shirt was stained i do not mean a small stain...the entire collar and basically any part of my white shirt the necklace touched was colored red! Soooo disappointing!! Before purchasing I had read the review that said the color rubbed off, but since the other reviews were all positive I figured maybe that person was sweating or had on lotion or something that would cause the color to come off (I've heard of that happening before). But I can tell you that I did not have any products on my freshly washed skin and not only was I not sweating, but I was cold all day. I do want to mention that QVC's fabulous customer service refunded me the full purchase price plus all shipping with no problem at all. I am just disappointed that a necklace that looks so nice is defective. I guess I should've known that $20 for a set this size was too good to be true. P.S. My dry cleaner was able to get the stain out, thank goodness!!
Great value, colorfull, affordable! Nice gift to a relative, friend, teen or anyone that loves to be in style at a great price.
I lovethe 3 strand look and it's not over done, This is really nice summer fresh look
Coral is really Red
I got the blue and coral. The Blue I LOVE, the "Coral"? is actually Red but still nice. It will look good when red is needed but.. I really wanted Coral, Keeping it but just a bit disappointed.
very pretty, but haven't worn yet
I loved this necklace, but I am concerned since a reviewer stated that the color rubbed off on her clothing. That would be awful since I bought the turquoise looking color to wear with a new yellow dress and a white blouse, both of which would be ruined if that happened to me. I had asked in a "question" if the color rubbed of on anyone else's clothing, and somebody kindly answered "no," so I gave it a try. The necklace does feel quite heavy on my thin neck, but for this price, I am keeping it! As long as this does not make my yellow dress turn green/blue, I will be very happy!!!!! Thanks Susan and QVC . I can't wait to wear it.
Pretty but too heavy for me.
I liked the color but the weight around my neck was not comfortable and I also agree the clasp was difficult to use. I would like a longer one strand necklace-- lighter weight if possible.
Pop of Color
I bought this necklace in the coral and it is very pretty. It is more of a reddish coral as the previous reviewer stated. It looks great against white and purple. The earrings are pretty as well. The only thing I don't care for is the clasp. For me, it is very difficult to fasten because the end caps are big and there is not enough room for your finger to get the clip open. Other than that, I like it.
Is coral another name for red?
Just received this set. I ordered the coral and to my surprise it's red. I really wanted coral. But I'm not sending it back as I will still be able to wear the red. It's a nice weight also.
But if really want coral - this won't work.
I purchased all 3 colors. They are so pretty and could not wait to wear them especially the coral and turquoise for summer. To my disappointment, the color comes off the necklaces and onto my skin. I tried wearing them on top of shirts and again the color rubs off so back they go. So sad!
An Excellent Value
Being a bead-crafter, I am aware of what a value this is. True the stones are not onyx, coral or turquoise, but the look is real and these appear to be hand-knotted, which in itself is a daunting task. Most jewelers charge $3 per inch to hand-knot beads. All three of these necklaces are classic is design, and the earrings are an added bonus. If you own a pendant with an opening bale closure you can hook it over one of the three strands for a very high end look. The turquoise style necklace is very similar to one I made (out of magnesite) for a charity auction that ultimately sold to the highest bidder at $150! I would suggest giving these necklaces another look.
