I own this jacket in pewter and eggplant and love both of them. I wear size medium, which is perfect. I am 5'2", 135 pounds, with fairly broad shoulders. They fit me perfectly and are comfortable and elegant, great for when you want a dressy look, but also wish to be comfortable. I have a lot of Susan Graver clothing, along with Denim & Company. This jacket has a lovely, flattering shape and I love the material. It is a true classic.

I guess I must have the world's longest arms for someone who is shortwaisted with a height of 5'8.5". I got this about 2 mos ago and I do like it, but I wore it yesterday for the first time w/ a velvet asymmetrical top under it (both in teal) and I kept having to tug down my sleeves all day. I just read (today is 11/17/16) a review of some velvet shirt or jacket that was shown TODAY and a lady wrote the exact same thing, so I am thinking that the issue is with the velvet fabric. Another reviewer wrote that the sleeves had shrunk in the laundry (great - so I have that to look forward to). Susan, if you read these reviews, some of us are ordering LONG SLEEVE because we REALLY, REALLY do NOT like 3/4 sleeves -- at least not in the winter. Once we're into November, whatever I wear has to be long-sleeved and probably has to be able to accommodate a turtleneck under it. It drove me crazy today to keep pulling at my sleeves all day long. I will reserve the shirt / cascade front cardigan combo for a special event when I will only have to wear it for a few hours. It did look really nice, and I love the "lower" line of the back hem because it covers the multitude of sins. I wore a pair of leggings on the bottom and the jacket looked good. I just wish the sleeves were a bit longer!

I ordered this cardigan in both the dark pewter and eggplant. I had read other reviews about how dark the eggplant is and I should have listened. Unless you are in very bright light, the eggplant looks black. That said, the pewter is very rich and expensive looking and I can not wait to wear this during the holidays with a black tank and black pants. It really does look much more expensive than it is!! I am 5'5", 145 lbs., 36B and the small fits perfectly!!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Myhoneybear Love This Cardi !!!!
I bought the plum in a 3X. The fit is wonderful and I love the fabric. The plum is such a nice deep purple, that I could wear it with various colors underneath and I plan on wearing my Susan Graver liquid knit tanks. The fabric is a little weighty but that combined with a long sleeveless tank in the cool-cold weather will still keep me properly warm. In the front, I can pull one side over the other and keep the cardigan closed with as small, pretty brooch - that'll create a whole new look. My favorite feature is the way the back slowly curves all the way down below my butt. You would be surprised how well that works on any figure type. It also helps that the lower bottom in the back has a nice swing while moving. I'll be ordering other colors as they come back in stock.

After seeing the on air presentation, I decided to order this cardigan, but was just disappointed when I tried it on. I would have much preferred to have it one length. The back just looked like a tail! The velvet material was nice enough.

What a wonderful addition to my wardrobe. Cardigan is fabulous in velvet and the colors superb. The cascade front is just what I love. Plus you can wash it. Couldn't be better I ordered a second one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by linkhigh Doesn't feel like velvet
On the plus side, the navy is a beautiful color, it fits just like the picture shows, and I love the color. And you can't argue with the clearance price.
Here's my issue: Velvet has a nap. When you run your hand over it, one direction feels smooth, and the opposite direction feels rough. This cardigan feels to me like it was cut with the pattern pieces upside down. That means when you run your hand over this garment, it feels smooth from the bottom up, and rough from the top down. Anyone who puts their hand on your arm, or touches your back, is going to feel the rough texture of the nap, not the smooth. As the wearer of the garment, the sleeves will only feel nice to the touch if you start at the wrist, and rub up your arm. From a tactile perspective, the garment could have felt so much nicer if the pattern pieces had been reversed on the fabric. The real deal breaker for me, though, is that this issue is going to make this garment a LINT MAGNET. Pet hair? Your hair? Fuzz from your boyfriend's sweater, or the fleece lining inside your coat? You're going to be wearing all of it. I understand that running the fabric in this direction makes the garment darker, since you're looking down into the nap. However, I think one of the benefits of a velvet garment is the small degree of shine that makes it look uniquely different from other fabrics. This navy cardigan has none of that delicious velvety shine. I'm really disappointed. (Please keep in mind that this review is for the navy colorway in size medium. Other sizes or other colorways may not have this issue.)
