I have had this mixer for a few years, love it so much. I have a kitchenaid but I just can't use it, there are alot of problems and it makes me VERY frustrated. With this, everything comes out perfectly and the dough hooks make a lighter dough then I could ever make in the kitchenaid. You are more involved with this, unlike the kitchenaid you just stand there. This you are more involved and you control it, Thats what makes it fun. It is SO much easier to add ingredients to this then the kitchenaid.
I wish QVC could get them to make better colors, pastels, like blue, and with a glass bowl, thats all I could think of that would make it perfect, its pretty close now.
I have been teaching my granddaughter to bake with this, I ask her what she wants to use, the kitchenaid, or this one and she always picks this one. she wants to be a chef one day!

13 years ago my mother in law bought me the stand mixer hertiage edition. Sadly due to fault of my own I had damaged the cord. I had heared all the rave about the kitchen aid mixers so I bought one, and let me just say it in NO WAY replaces my sunbeam. Even with the short in the cord I am using it over the new kitchen aid. Everytime I use the kitchen aid I am disappointed and upset that I ever spent that kind of money on the product. The sunbeam Hertiage series give the best results of any I have ever used. You just absolutely can not go wrong with this product. I use the mixer daily on from scratch recipes and make large quanities. It is hands down a great product.

I have a Mixmaster Heritage Stand Mixer and the plastic gears failed. Sunbeam does not sell replacement gears so the mixer is now headed to the dumpster. Unfortunate that they cheaped out on gears and ever worse that they don't sell replacement parts. Not a company I can endorse any longer.

I bought this machine from a friend and just used it to make banana bread. I like it and it seems to work just fine, including the bowl turns as I'd expect. Not sure what those are talking about that says it doesn't turn! Anyway, I can't get the righthand (square) beater out and I can't find anywhere on the web that explains how to get it out. Please help!!! I would expect it to be intuitive and the other one did come out... how do I do it?? Anyone feel free to jump in and let me know!
Rated 1 out of 5 by DawnaC Stopped working, no Syncronized bowl & beater
Used it once, beaters clanked together, had to keep taking apart, then they locked up and one beater no longer turns at all. Box claimed bowl and beaters were synchronized but they absolutely are not. Very disappointed. Still under warranty but not sure I trust this model anymore since several others have also reviewed the beaters stop working, One claimed he took his apart and it was plastic inside, not "die-cast metal" as advertised on the box. Seems like a piece of junk. Glad I kept my old one, that still works, I thought I was upgrading my mixer when I bought this piece of garbage. Obviously I was wrong.
