Rated 5 out of 5 by I wish I had one years ago! It is perfect for me. SHARP. Cuts FAST. NOT awkward to use at all. It was great for heavy pruning my apple trees that were way out of control for several years growth. It also handled the evergreen tree branches and other tree branches that were annoying. I wanted to find more to cut up but I ran out of things to cut. Totally LOVE IT! And it is electric. No struggling to pull that stinking cord. Just plug it in and go. Easy to put together too. 10-27-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for light duty cutting 4" or more then you might want your gas chainsaw but for light duty cuts this is great and it extends your reach...maybe not 15 ft but quite a ways...you will not be disappointed. You will need more oil but you get enough for a couple of light sessions 10-27-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Saw My husband loves this saw, it is so handy here in Florida. It is great for trimming the palm trees and other small trees we have. He loves the adjustable saw, says it works great. 10-27-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good tool to have I love being able to go into the garage , grab this chainsaw ... And go handle business out in the yard . My opinion is you should probably wear safety glasses because it can shoot out pieces of wood . It's a little top heavy , but really love it . 10-26-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by good purchase Works great up to about 10 feet, but it takes a while when extended all the way to cut through the branch. 10-24-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pole saw. Well worth its price. Myself and several other people used the neighbors Sun Joe pole saw to remove trees from his property after Hurricane Matthew. That little saw was so impressive branching and even cutting large (>12" dia.) timber I had to get my own! I've been wanting a pole saw to keep my trees trimmed without climbing the trees and using a regular chainsaw. Nothing similar I found locally seemed good enough to do the job. I ordered this saw only a few days ago and it was delivered today. Fast work QVC! I opened the box before dinner just to see the saw. Then I took everything to the garage. After dinner I put the saw together and gave it a short test. What is in the box? The saw, instruction, chain and bar oil, Warranty card, combination wrench/screwdriver, chain and bar guard, safety glasses, and the hangers including anchors for wood or masonry. Assembly is very easy. I looked over the instructions, unpacked the bar and chain, opened the bag containing the wrench/screwdriver, manual, and safety glasses. I was quite pleased that Sun Joe thinks enough of safety to include safety glasses. I laid all the parts out on my workbench and removed the chain drive sprocket cover, adjusted the chain tensioner to its loosest position so I could install the bar and chain, put the chain on the bar, threaded the chain over the drive sprocket, and placed the bar onto its mount. Then I temporarily put the nut back onto its mounting stud, pulled the bar to snug the chain as much as possible and adjusted the chain tensioner to tighten the chain, removed the nut while holding the bar on its mount and reinstalled the cover, tightened the nut, installed the nut cover and moved outside. Then I filled the oil, connected the electric and gave the saw a run to seat the chain. The chain loosened a bit (normal) so I readjusted it to the correct tension. Restarted the saw then checked chain tension again. Time to cut a few branches. I only had a few 3 inch or so ones to try so I cut through the first one like a knife through butter. Now for the generator and saw. I have a 2kW inverter generator I wanted to try with the saw. No problem at all. Next few branches and the saw cut through then like a hot knife through butter too. All saw tests passed! This saw has proven to be everything I expected. I'm sure over time it will prove to me more than its worth. I would not rate any item on the day I first tried it, but I already worked with this same brand and model for 2 days all day long and already knew what to expect out of this saw. Mine works just like the one I used the day after the hurricane. Finally, it is made in China, but has an Oregon chain. 10-20-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Esay to Use This was very easy to setup and use. It is very powerful and got the job done without struggling or lagging. It worked well on branches and hedges. Very happy that I purchased this item. 10-19-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not what I expected I purchased this in June 2016. I used it briefly the following month and worked very well. I went to use it again and was disappointed. I thought it extended a lot farther than what it does. The description says 15 ft reach. It only extends just under eight feet. The description doesn't say with your arms extended. I was looking for something longer. When I had it extended and the blade angled it didn't run very smooth it was using a lot of bar/chain oil. I seemed to be filling it on every few branches that were only about 5 inch diameter. Then the chain kept getting very loose and I realized the adjusting screw fell out and I couldn't find it. This was all within a half hour of using it for the second time. Not what I expected. I would send it back if I could. 10-19-16
