Rated 1 out of 5 by from Took A Gamble and Lost It is always a gamble when ordering a piece of amethyst jewelry online, unless the piece in the photo is the actual item you are receiving. I wanted to use this ring as a replacement wedding band for myself. I waited with such anticipation and was soooooo disapointed when I received it. The stones were very pale and washed out, barely a lavendar color as opposed the deep purple in the photo. The style of the ring and craftsmanship of the setting were beautiful, but the stones themselves were too washed out. I am returning this one and I am debating on whether or not to order another ring in the hopes the stones will be a deep rich purple. I sometimes wonder if Quality Control does not realize that its the color that matters most importantly. Yes we want consistent color throught out the stone and we want the stones to match, and yes we want quality silver work. Please make Jacque Gonzalez your amethyst Quailty Control person when it comes to amethyst. She will get it right.
