K16520 - Staub Elite Enameled Cast Iron 5qt. French Ovenwith Lid
Works well w/just about anything I put in it. Love it for soups and stews. Easy clean up as long as you don't crank up the heat and burn your food. You only need to use a medium setting as the cast iron heats quickly and evenly. To wash I fill w/hot soapy water...let it sit and simply wash out. No problems.
Best pot I own
I've had this pot for about a year now. I use it constantly for my beef stew and even used it to make my apple butter last fall. It would be great if QVC carried a larger version too, but this one is just perfect! I will be buying one for my mother, since she is always commenting on how much she loves mine! Great purchase. If you're debating, don't! It is well worth it.
I love this pot have used it many times any love it. I only wish it was bigger
IT'S CAST IRON W/ A TOUCH OF CLASS
I can't say enough about this pot. it's so useful, so easy to clean. And when my hubby helps me with the clean up in the kitchen and he notices how easy this pot cleans, it's a "KEEPER". I like the feature of I can place the handle of the led inside the handles of the pot. It's cast iron with a touch of class.
It's great for pot roasts, soups, and sitting beautiful atop your stove/oven ( like I do) and to table for serving.
I love it so much I got the red one first, when it came on easy pay last year I got the blue one. I don't use to much any of my pots in the cabinets anymore, it's this one always. Believe me when I say when it's a great cooking pot to have it is.
You won't be sorry investing the money to have this one in your kitchen.
I've owned this for a year and love, love, love it!!! Great quality. Great price. Had been eyeing the brand in stores for years but was unwilling to part with $200-$300 for a pot of this quality. Thank you QVC for carrying it. Would like to see more.
THE PICTURE ONLINE DOES NOT DO THIS BEAUTIFUL POT JUSTICE. I BOUGHT SAGE GREEN...IT HAS GOLD GLITTER FLECKS ALL OVER IT! ABSOULTELY GORGEOUS! I COULDN'T BELIEVE A POT COULD BE THIS PRETTY. I USED IT ON MY ELECTRIC STOVE AND DID GET MARKS ON THE BOTTOM THAT I CANT SEEM TO GET OFF....BUT I'M SURE I WILL FIND A WAY. COOKING QUALITY IS GREAT...CLEANUP IS OKAY..I USED THIS TO DEEP FRY IN AND IT HELD THE HEAT QUALITY EXCEPTIONALLY WELL! LOVE IT!
I bought this and put it up (Sage green so pretty). To be honest I forgot that I had it until I was looking for a cassarole dish. I decided to use this and I am in love! I made baked rigatoni with lots of cheese. Clean up was so easy, a non scratch sponge and water. No scrubbing (even on the baked on stuff). What impressed me (aside from ease of clean up) was the fact that I placed the lid on after dinner and when I went back 2 hours later and started moving the food into a storage container, the food was still HOT, cheese still melted and steam when I dug in.
I would have paid alot more for the quality but am glad that I did not have to.
BOUGHT TWO OF THESE POTS...LOVE!!!
I bought one for me and one for my son, who loves to cook. I was really afraid to buy them because of all the comments about the dimples, and cleaning. Boy is America afraid of cleaning pots. I find this a breeze to clean. At my local grocery store I bought a little round cleaning brush that will not scratch. After cooking I use hot water,a little soap and the brush on the dimples and CLEAN!!! NO PROBLEM. I went to my local high end kitchen store. Same brand name, same size pot...did NOT have the AWESOME lid stand in the handle, which I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE....$230.00...... What a deal this pot is. I would LOVE to get more Straub on QVC... I can not tell you what my son will think....but it is a wonderful gift...I wish I got a present like this...WOW!!! LUCKY SON!!! QVC PLEASE BRING ON MORE STAUB ELITE...PLEASE...THANK YOU!
I never thought I would be able to afford a pot of this quality!!! It is just an awesome deal!! This was my very first purchase from QVC. I will be back again and again!!!
SO IN LOVE!!
Got this pot becaue I was a personal Chef for a family,... They had one that was similar minus the dimples on the bottom... She paid over 300$ for it!!! I dont mind the dimpled bottom.. I use only wooden spoons when cooking with it!!! have never had a problem with cleaning.. worst so far I have had to soak w soap and water and wash out with a soft sponge or cloth.... use it for EVERYTHING!!! Make sure to let it heat before you add ANYTHING!!! have made french fries.. Mole for enchiladas, Beans, Rice, Pot Roast, Pasta.. wow.. In love!!! It is a definite Must HAVE!!!
Buy and enjoy!
Love the way it cooks!
Love my pot - the green is nicely flecked. Doesn't really match my other cookware, but I really don't want everything to be "matchy-matchy" as the hosts say... I agree the dimples are somewhat annoying, but I clean all my pots by boiling water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and some baking soda... burnt on food comes right off. It is heavy but I keep mine on the back burner - always handy. I have seen only a few little specks where enamel has chipped, but I've had it for a year, and the function outweighs the imperfections. Great pot for stews, sauces, roasts, both on top of the range and in the oven.
From the day I got my pot, I have loved it. Cast Iron is an awesome way to cook. From even cooking to easy cleanup, this pot is the best.
