A202980 - Stan Herman Ultimate Chenille Button Front Robe
I loved this robe when I received it and at first wore it only a few times. Now it became my only winter robe and it started to shed whatever it came in contact with. I washed it over and over and over and dried it over and over. The robe cannot be worn because it won't stop shedding. It must have been a bad batch of chenille. Unfortunately I cannot send it back.
I have purchased Stan Herman P.J. and have been very happy. I purchased this for myself to wear Chistmas Day to lounge around. I received it a few days before Christmas, too late to return it. I was sad that where the verticle chenille lines meet up with the plain chenille where the zipper meets were not even at that point, it was uneven by about 1/2 inch, very obvious, which I will live with, but I hope the rest of them for your customers are even at point. Very Soft fabric and washed well. Sorry Stan - NOT exactly up to your standards!
I love tihs robe. I've been looking for something like this for a long time...finally. Thanks Stan!
The NO HOTFLASH ROBE SH Chenille Winner!
So glad to find any Stan Herman chenille! It keeps me warm in the winter without causing undue hotflashes! It is soo hard to find a cotton based robe in a winter weight. Yes this robe produces lint but that is NORMAL. It's just like when you wash new plush towels and for the same reasons. Someone PLEASE beg Stan Herman to keep making the chenille and in even more choices. I hate the polyester junk that's out there. LUV LUV LUV chenille.
Good weight for Southern State!
Stan, I love these chenille robes, but the shedding, u never talk about the shedding? I bought the pink & the butter. The colors are as shown. Love the buttons! Love the length. Only trouble is with the shedding? I don't remember in the "olden days" chenille robes shedding this much. I've washed & washed & dryed & dryed & after about 8 sets of that, I could of stuffed a pillow with the dryer lint from the shedding.
love it to pieces
I just received my robe and must say I just love it!
Even though it sheds, it's warm, stylish and so soft.
The shedding should go away after a few washes, then it will be perfect.
I received a Stan Herman chenille robe several years ago as a gift and completely wore it out. I am big fan of Stan Herman. Way to go QVC !
The chenille seemed very soft, but I returned this after trying it on, without washing it. It weighed a ton! From that standpoint alone, it wouldn't be for me. Today's fabrications can be both soft and wonderfully lightweight; that's my personal preference. It also seemed to run quite large.
VERY WARM AND COZY
I WANTED A 100% COTTON ROBE WITH WARMTH AND THIS ONE FITS THAT REQUIREMENT. MY LAST STAN HERMAN CHENILLE ROBE LASTED SEVERAL YEARS. I LITERALLY WORE IT TIL IT FELL APART.THERE IS NO SHEDDING WITH THIS ROBE AS STATED ON THE OTHER REVIEWS. VERY PLEASED.
Not a good buy
I was after a nice, cozy winter robe that either buttoned or zipped up the front. I received this robe and was so disapointed in the fabric and the way it was made I had to send it back. The robe sheds all over the place, and was not up to par with the items that Stan Herman makes.
so soft, but still shedding
What a soft robe! I find it's just the right weight for Fall. Before wearing it, I threw it in the dryer to remove some of the fuzz. Then I washed and dried it. It's still shedding. I may need to wash it again before the shedding stops. I hope it's still nice and soft.
Really, really soft, gorgeous color
It's a little thin for a fall/winter robe, not sure I want to save it for spring of just use with pj's instead of a gown or night shirt. I got the butter and the color is gorgeous. I really like the buttons on it, but wish it had a high collar, just for that super compfy feeling, when you get all snuggled up after a hot bath. Maybe it needs a hoodie . . .
