Spring Step Streetwise Leather Mary Jane Shoes
just too short -- order up, order up
This shoe runs about 2 sizes short. I usually wear size 35-36 (5.5-6.5) Based on reviews I ordered size 37 in black, white and bronze. My toes touched the end on the black and bronze. The white had a tad more toe room. Am returning all for refund. I think size 38 will be fine in length but too wide with my narrow, shallow foot. On the size 37 I could slide my fingers under down by the tows.
That being said, the shoe is well constructed and sturdy. The innersole is cushy.
this was a good price.
Should have paid attention to other reviews :(
I am looking for a pair of airy Mary Jane style shoes for warm weather months. I live in Florida so I can wear them all year round. These are very cute but unfortunately the back of the shoe is too high and rubs the upper part of my heel and the shoe also rubs the side of my foot below my big toes. Because of other's reviews, I ordered a size up to prevent rubbing issues but it didn't work. Also, they feel a little heavier than I like for a "summer" shoe, probably because of the thick sole. This is my first time ordering Spring Step. I guess I'll stick with Clarks, Bare Traps, Aerosoles, Rykas and Sketchers. Sorry QVC, they are going back to you.
Sadly, my size 7 foot did not fit in the Spring Step size 37. The shoe itself is super cute and obviously well constructed but was too short for me.
I am keeping the shoe because they are cute and I think I can find moleskin to cover the rough band on the inside of the right shoe. I like the look of the shoe and the size is good. When I put them on for the first time (barefoot) the band over the arch on the right shoe was very scratchy and rough. I know if I wear them any length of time, my skin would be raw. When I tried them on with a pair of nylons, the shoe snagged the nylon. I just think the quality control on this shoe could be a lot better. The left shoe is fine..
This was the second pair of Spring Step shoes that I ordered. Both were the same size...8 wide. My first pair fit and were comfortable. This pair did not fit. It was too short lengthwise. I felt like Cinderella's step sister. I sent the shoes back today and not happy to pay postage.
I like these shoes
I bought these for this summer, thought they were more like sandals but really more like regular shoes. They are cute on and comfy. The sides and back come up a little high but think I'll get used to this.
Feminine Fisherman sandal
This is really a cute, more feminine style. I ordered red (true pretty red) and white but had to adjust sizing. I went up 1/2 size (from 6 to 6 1/2) and it fit much better. It runs short according to my feet and I can buy shoes from Nordstroms to Walmart in my normal size 6. They are very comfortable and will be great for summer. I recommend once you get correct size.
Just to cute
Love this shoe,Had to size up though to a 39(8 /12 It is so darn cute on the foot. Got it in the white. I could walk all day in this shoe.
Love These Shoes
Got these in red - my favorite color. It is a gorgeous true red. I have several pairs of Spring Steps and these, in addition to Clarks, are my favorite shoes. Love the style. I have lots of Mary Janes and loafer type shoes in my wardrobe. These are great with jeans, but I bet will go just as well with black pants and a red shirt/sweater. The leather is very nice. I find that the fit is fine. There is enough adjustment for me. I got medium width. I have other spring steps, so i ordered the same size I had in those. The ones I have are a similar style, so I was right on. These are my new favorite shoes. Would recommend them, but not as a gift unless you are sure of the size.
love the shoes, but my toes stick out!
I love the feel of the shoes. They are comfortable, but my small toes stick out of the side of the openings in the shoes. It drives me crazy. I would recommend this only if your toe doesn't stick out!~
Not adjustable enough
I bought these shoes in a size 42 bronze and the strap is not very adjustable. I have at least six pairs of mary janes and when I saw that oblong metal ring, I thought I could tighten the strap like all my other shoes. Not the case. The only way to tighten the strap is to pull it across. There wasn't enough velcro left to keep the shoe on my foot.
