'Southern Charm' Bracelet by John Wind
A Real Charmer
I purchased this bracelet last year and never got around to posting a review until now.
At first I was a bit disappointed thinking it was slightly over priced. But after wearing it several times, and receiving many compliments, I started to rethink the cost.
I also checked out other charm bracelets in the retail market and was disappointed. Not only were they pricey but they were also lacking in "CHARM". This bracelet is unique and you don't see it everywhere. I'm happy to have kept it.
Certainly by far one of the coolest and most Southern bracelets I have seen. Consistently get complements every time I wear it.
I adore this bracelet. Makes me feel so very pretty.
Another GRITS Lady
Received my bracelet a couple of days ago and it is beautiful, quality workmanship and outstanding design......the soft, brushed, goldtone finish is perfect for this piece. My wrist measures a little under 7" so the bracelet did fit with a little drape and it took about 5 or 6 tries to get it clasped.....but it would not have mattered how dificult it was or if it was too short, I simply would have used a bracelet extender or had rings added to the extender to make it fit better...this bracelet is worth the few extra dollars spent....Similar John Wind bracelets on other sites are selling for almost double QVC's price so I felt this bracelet was a "bargain" and worth the asking price. I will treasure this bracelet forever....Growing up as a teenager in South Georgia in the 1960's...I have picked peanuts for "boiled peanuts" and even TRIED to pick cotton (I lasted about an hour & earned a nickle)...back-breaking, labor intensive, sweaty work for little money.....this bracelet is not just for "home-grown" southern ladies but for any woman who enjoys beautiful jewelry......it is a "work of art". Just be aware, if your wrist is larger than 71/4", you'll have to use a bracelet extender or add jump rings to make it fit......This bracelet is worth it, though. QVC, please bring us more John Wind jewelry.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
I love this bracelet. I get so many compliments on it at work. I love charm bracelets and this just fits the bill.
Nice bracelet, not made for large wrist.
I wish the show host had done a better job presenting this bracelet. Because the bracelet is 8in long, did not mean it would fit a wrist of 7 1/2in. I wish I had read the description online, showing it was made for a 7 1/4 in wrist. Also, please stop using lobster claw clasp on bracelets. They are impossible to use without an extender, if you have a big wrist. To get the bracelet on you need help. Sent it back.
Perfect Southern Charm
I purchased this for a friend who embodies southern charm and I was delighted with the quality and beauty of his bracelet. It's a substantial piece but the scale of the elements is just right. Love the details on both sides of the peanut charms and the just like vintage spun cotton pearls. My friend loved it. I hope QVC starts carrying some more John Wind pieces.
This was a perfect choice for a relative of mine that was born in NC and lives in Georgia. The flower is a combination of the Georgia state flower - The Cherokee Rose and the NC state flower, the Dogwood. The pearl is actually made of cotton, another Southern symbol and the peanut is just a fun addition. I can't wait to give it to her for her birthday. John Wind is a gifted designer. The price point on this bracelet is great. His bracelets usually sell for much more.
This bracelet is absolutely adorable! I love that it fits my small wrist! I also love the gold finish and its whimsical details! It is a nice reminder of 'southern charm'!
Northern Love for Southern Charm
This is such a cute bracelet! I just LOVE it! I guess the wittiness of the peanuts and the cotton balls do it for me! It it so reminiscent of good costume jewelry of bygone days which I would play with in my mother's jewelry box. I REALLY hope that QVC will carry more of this line. I have checked it out in various stores in my travels.
Should have known
I'll be brief. If you enjoy looking at a clasp all day by all means purchase this bracelet. It drove me craze turning it around all day and you can't write (if you are right handed) with the charms on the bottom. It is going back.
Gorgeous Whimsical Bracelet
I just love this southern charm bracelet. I was concerned that it would be too big because I have a very small wrist but in the last link it works for me perfectly. Love the charms, the sound, the design. It really does have southern charm. Very well made and substantial but not heavy.
