The two most important tools of a cook are a quality knife and a quality cutting board. This board is heavy, therefore reliable in weight and the maple wood makes a durable cutting surface. I use this board every day and there are no knicks or cuts into the wood. I clean with warm soapy water then rub with oil to maintain a beautiful piece. I have used for several months now and it looks as handsome as when I received it.

WONDERFUL MAPLE WOOD CUTTING BOARD WITH SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT. CUTTING WITH MY PROFESSIONAL GRADE KNIVES IS GREAT ON THIS WOOD. THERE HAVE BEEN NO KNICKS INTO THIS HARDWOOD AS IN SOFTER WOOD OR PLASTIC BOARDS. I USE WARM SOAPY WATER ON A DISH CLOTH FOLLOWED BY WARM WATER TO CLEAN THE BOARD. PERFECT CUTTING BOARD FOR VEGGIES, FRUITS AND NUTS.
