Snow Joe Ultra Electric Snow Thrower
AWESOME SNOW BLOWER !!!!!
I purchased this as the TSV a few weeks ago. Today I had the chance to see if this was as easy to use as the presentation said it was....well, we got about 6 inches of snow overnight...I got out my blower, plugged the cord in and off I went. IT WORKS GREAT !!!. And I did it all by myself.... I'm 56, female, and have a bad back. So, I was a little worried about how this was going to work, but, like I said, it was wonderful. I actually had fun.
Thank you for making my life easier. I live in Chicago, I am 57, female and suffer from
arthritis. We just had our first heavy snow fall today and I am thankful I purchased this product last week. I had no problem assemblying it and had no problem understanding the operation. I was able to shovel my back and front sidewalk and driveway in less than 30 minutes.
I rated it only 4 stars because I didn't get a really good clearance as if I was to use a heavier snow thrower.
Not good for over 3 inches of snow
Thought that this would be a great purchase as I just wanted to do my sidewalk. However, if there was more than 3 inches of snow it was more work than shoveling. If it was heavy snow I did not even attempt to use it. Dragging the cord behind me was a pain also. Finally gave it to a friend of mine after not using it at all for the winter of 2010 that lives in an area that only gets maybe a foot of snow all season. I live in upstate New York and it was a waste of my money.
I have owned my Snow Joe for three years. It is easy to use and works great. I just wipe it off and coil up the cord after each use. No oil or gast to fuss with. I am a fairly small "older" woman and do not have any trouble using or lifting the Snow Joe. It is holding up great!
Some have concerns about the cumbersome cord. If you can use a vaccum you can use the electric Snow Joe. I use a 200' cord attached to a cord roller. The cord slips right over the snow spout for storage. Takes up very little garage space.
